I purchased it from a Volvo dealer in Central Penna who had it in storage over 25 years in his own collection. As a result, the body is in great shape and never had any rust. Floors are undercoated and very solid. Trunk and shock towers are also rust free. I had the car painted 3 years ago and the bodyshop owner couldn't believe how solid and rust free the car is. Mechanically it runs and drives fine, the B16B twin carb engine puts out about 85HP, and has been very reliable. Still has the original 6 volt system, and starts right up after winter storage- no smoke or noises. I had the dealer I bought it from put new tires on it(originals were dry rotted), and they have about 1000 miles on them now . Odometer and title show 26000 miles, but it does not work so actual mileage is unknown. I don't think it has many more miles than shows as it was stored many years,and it is so rust free. Speedometer works, fuel gauge works( bounces around occassionally), lights all work wipers work, temp gauge does NOT work, and horn works sporadically. Radio doesn't work. Shifts fine, trans is fine. Interior is very nice for a 49 year old car and is mostly original- seats, door panels are original. Headliner was replaced(mouse damage), and I installed basic carpeting.Chrome shines nicely, but shows minor pitting. There is a small oil drip which I never looked into. Even though it is not a show car I have entered it in several local shows and have won several trophies, which the buyer can have if desired. It always attracts attention wherever I go, much to the chagrin of some of my friends who have far more expensive cars. Sold AS IS, please remember you are buying an almost 50 year old car, not a new or late model one, and not a trailer queen.
