1978 Pontiac Trans Am 400 CI 4 speed. Car has T-Tops, power windows, air conditioning, rear defrost, WS-6 Rims. Had the car since October of 2009, was given to satisfy a debt. Car looks great but has some needs. I was going to take care of needs and keep but don't have the time, will make some one a great cruise car. The interior needs a complete redo to make it right, I pulled the new seat covers tight and they look much better, headliner is good, carpet is new, door panels are new but they are not the deluxe panels, Dash pad has one small crack on passenger side, no pull handle, cluster is out of 80 or newer have right year tach (included), no radio or speakers, dash bezel is also out of 80 or newer, center console is ok, passenger kick panel has chunk out of it, sill plates are on backwards and missing Fisher emblems, package tray is new, seat belts were painted black ( looked like they were red originally), map light needs new cover, center vent works but is broken, back sail panels look bad need to be replaced, back side panels are bad (have two replacement panels),have two replacement seat backs,interior was sprayed gloss black instead of satin, column is out of automatic ( car is a 4 speed), has brand new edelbrock carburator ( so hood scope does not fit correctly was glued to hood), needs after market or OEM A/C compressor with receiver dryer and lines ( looks like everything else is there), needs engine compartment wiring reworked and black wiring cover ( in my opinion), has new leaf springs, new tires, air shocks, passenger side mirror is mounted a little low and not correct. Car sets up nice and runs great! Very nasty! Needs someone with time and knowledge to pull it together. Has a soft spot on starter sometimes cranks right up sometimes you need to roll and jump it. I have included some pictures of problem spots on body that are not that bad but will need to be addressed at some point. If you love TA's and have the time and about $2500.00 you could make this a nice car, it is by no means perfect but also is a long way in the right direction towards a nice car. I have owned several of these cars and know them inside and out, this is a good car that needs someone with time, patience, and money to pull it together correctly and you will have a very nice 400 4 speed with air, not many around with T-Tops! Just wanted to add that I have two seat backs in good condition, driver's side lower rear seat panel (2 for some reason), a correct Tach/ Speedo cluster for year, and replacement glove box door (complete) one on car missing side bracket to hold it open, I will include these items!
