Vehicle Detail
Here we have an interesting piece. I am selling this car for my client so here is what we know...The car is in the possession of the daughter of the second owner, the car was originally sold locally here is sunny southern California. The Second owner passed last october and the daughter does not want the memories anymore. As for the car...Very desirable early 68 Coupe, built late in 67 with the VIN letting us know is was a US bound Coupe. Motor carries number 3380142 telling us this is a 901/17 power plant with 130PS. The car has no floor or heater channel rust, there is a slight bubble under the paint on the drivers side right where the windshield meets the body. Repainted and updated WAY back in the 80's where the new body style was cool. The car carries what looks to me to be 6's and 7's x 15" wheels with decent tread on them. Euro headlight assemblies round out the 930 look he was going for. It looks as though the front nose might be a clip ?? Check the pictures of the welds on the inner front fender inside the trunk area. unfortunately I can not verify nor refute this as the owner is no longer with us. Motor wise it fires right up and does not smoke at all. Triple webbers run smooth, oil pressure hit about 60 when the motor is revved. 5 speed trans shift nice and the clutch is smooth, no chatter or slipping. The tranny does whine a bit when the car is under way. Left side widow regulator does not work, nor does the door release from the inside of the car. Outer handles both work fine. Brakes work fine as do the lights. I did not check the aftermarket radio. Interior is ok, headliner seems nice, seats are a bit tatty but all there. Carpet is a bit ragged and worn. Dash is ok but has a few extra switches installed. Door panels are nice and serviceable. Glass is good. For 84 Pictures of this car go here.... http://s164.photobucket.com/albums/u39/bassgruvn/911/ All in all this is a nice early non rusty car someone could run as is or restore to original. Car is sold AS IS where it is in Simi Valley California.$500.00 non refundable deposit due in 24 hours of auction ending.Happy Bidding.
