Vehicle Detail
Here is an great looking and running truck. I bought this truck a few years ago and completely redid it for my company truck. (I own a small hot rod shop) I found it on a local dealers lot and was completely rust free but the paint was faded badly. I repainted it and added custom shifty red metal flake flames under 5 coats of clear coat, The pictures just don't do it justice. I also added a lot of new items after the new paint to make it look fresh again including: Chrome grill, headlight bezels, headlights, turn signal housings, front and rear clearence lights, front bumper, lower air dam, custom black leather headliner and overhead console, black carpet, battery, 4 new rear tires, full dual exhaust, STEEL dual cowl induction hood, billet aluminum dash and door inserts. The truck had a remanufactures 454 installed about 10,000 miles ago and runs great. It is fuel injected and has stainless headers and a TH400 transmission. This truck pulls very strong and have no doubt that it would pull about anything you had attached to it. Last year we pulled my bothers camper to Oshkosh WI (about 12 hour round trip) to the air show and had no problem pulling it even at highway speeds. It has a pretty low rear end but not sure of the gear. The only item that didn't get finished was the front seat, it needs to be reupholstered due to the sun. It includes the rear bed mounted 5th wheel attachment and hidden bumper hitch behind the license plate. It also has been lowered about 4" and rindes on REAL "ALCOA" aluminum wheels, not simulators. It had rear air bag assist, but I never had enough weight on it to need them. For a 1 ton truck this thing rides very smooth even unloaded. The title shows it as a prior salvage...not sure why. Like I said I own a body shop and I've been ALL OVER this truck, and can't seen how or where it was ever damaged. However it does have an Iowa DOT issued vin number and title. It doesn't look like it ever has been wrecked nor does it drive like it. It shows 75,xxx miles on it, but because it a salvage title.... who knows. I bought a used 3/4 ton diesel truck for my hauling needs and thought I might need to have both trucks, but it hardly gets driven anymore and I'm tired of storing it. This would make a great hauler for anyone, and considering what I've got invested in the paint job alone I'm practically giving it away. Wow! what kind of a statement would you make pulling you race car with this rig!!! 500.00 deposit due with in 48 hours, balance upon pick up of vehicle. On Jun-09-10 at 13:18:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several questions come up so I thought I would answer them here. The truck has dual tanks, both work, no leaks and the selector works properly and It will be transfered with 2 full tanks of fuel. The rear 5th wheel attachment is removable with a lock pin and ring. The rear seat lays down into a bed and the center front console raises up to make the front seat a full bench seat.
