Vehicle Detail

1952 Chevy 5-Window Pickup Custom Street Rod I wouldn't part with this beautiful truck, but my wife and I recently had twins, and there's only room – financially – for two babies in our lives. This truck is a complete, frame-off restoration. Everything you'd want in a driver, and if you prefer a prize-winning show vehicle, this is it. Most of the work was done by a serious hobbyist in San Diego; I purchased it from him. Of course he shopped out the beautiful Black Cherry paint job, and a few other necessaries. Most of the work I've had done is underneath, correcting a few oversights on his part. Between the two of us, we've spared no expense. The parts and paint alone are worth twice what I'm asking. Everything in it or on it is new in the last 5 years. Any repurposed parts (engine, etc.) have been completely rebuilt. I say that to save myself from typing "new" on every line; it gets a little repetitive. Here's what you have to look forward to, in detail: Complete custom Black Cherry paint job – no rust. All chrome, trim, felts and rubber new. Distinctive chrome grill. Leather interior. Carpet. Heater and A/C conversion package. GM late model steering column. Complete wiring harness. Power window conversion in doors. AM-FM-MP3-CD stereo w/ iPod hook-up in glove box. Power antenna. 12-volt windshield wiper conversion. Pickup bed redone in pristine nautical oak, w/chrome strips. Tricked out, flush fuel filler access on driver side rear fender. Chrome Chevy step plates on both running boards. LED brake lights in rear cab window and bed roll ends. Alternator, power steering pump, drive pulleys and brackets all chromed. All belts, hoses and lines new. Lokar accelerator and kickdown cables. ENGINE: 1976 350 cu small block Chevy V8 bored 0.30 over, completely rebuilt. TRANSMISSION: GM 400 turbo automatic. Completely rebuilt and resealed. High performance torque converter. Shift kit. Transmission cooler. FUEL SYSTEM: 4-Barrel Edelbrock Performer Carburetor w/ Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. New fuel tank w/straps. IGNITION SYSTEM: HEI Mallory ignition distributor w/coil and wires. COOLING SYSTEM: Chromed water pump, new aluminum radiator w/ SPAL Electric thermostat-controlled cooling fan. CHASSIS: New Mustang II coil spring over shock front suspension kit. Rear leaf spring and shock kit. Front and rear sway bar w/links. STEERING: New power steering rack and pinion, pump, and hoses. BRAKE SYSTEM: Power brake booster, master cylinder, and lines. Disc brake caliper and rotor conversion kit. New pads. Adjustable proportioning valve. TIRES/WHEELS: New 15" wheels, Goodrich radials, chrome rally moon hub caps w/ Chevy bow tie emblem. I highly recommend you consider hiring an independent appraiser, especially if you're not near Chicago. That's what I did before I bought this truck and had it shipped from San Diego. It's a lot of peace of mind for a few hundred bucks. The appraiser I hired in San Diego said then, "If you don't buy this truck, I'm going to." And that was before I put many thousands more $$$ into it. Please contact me with any questions.
