Vehicle Detail
This is a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door hardtop. It is 95 percent original and has never been restored. It has been partially disassembled and all parts go with it. The car has never had rust on the exterior and has only minor surface rust on the interior floor pans and in the trunk. The rocker panels, door bottoms, fenders and quarter panels are completely rust free. The body has only some minor door dings. It has the original V-8. A previous owner changed carburetor and valve covers. It was a Georgia made care and spent its first 20 years in the south. It has since been in a barn. The interior is worn and unchanged from original. All stainless is included and restorable. This is one of the few remaining unrestored 2 door hardtops available in rust free condition. If any other pictures are requested or questions arise feel free to submit them and I will answer asap. Please read carefully. The winning bidder must make a deposit within 48 hours of close of auction. The remainder must be paid within 7 days unless other arrangements are made.A bank wire transfer, cash or cashier's check will be accepted. If a cashiers check is to be used the funds must be verified before taking the vehicle. None of these are what I would consider big, but they should be known. There are some problems with the car:1. The steering wheel is not correct for a 1957 but is complete.2. There is one hole in the lower right inner rocker about the size of a quarter that needs patched.3. There is a damaged place in the trunk floor above the rear spring that appears to be a jack mishap from a previous owner.4. The car had a "quickie" paint job around 1970 in a high school tech shop and some overspray is on the chrome and stainless.5. The side glass chrome has normal pitting.6. The lower rear seat cover needs replaced(dry rotted). If there is anything that I have missed I am sure we can work out proper consideration. I also have separate items for sale that are made for this car. 1. A reproduction Continental Kit still in the box from Classic Chevy.2. A factory power antenna for the quarter.3. A Vintageair a/c unit that is still in the box. These are NOT included with this car or the bid. I just reference these in case someone might be interested in a package deal or partial package deal.
