PLEASE EVERYONE READ THE COMPLETE ADD BEFORE BIDDING AS I HAVE TOOKEN MY TIME TO TELL EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT THE CAR AND IT’S HISTORY. THANKS Hello everyone, your looking at my 1977 Datsun 280Z with 1971 240Z front conversion. I really hate to let this car go since its so hard to fine one that rides and handles so good for it’s age as to this one. Lets start out by saying I have owned many of these cars and know what to expect from them. If you are looking at this auction you already know that the Z cars are getting harder and harder to find in good, clean, running condition. It’s also very hard to find one of these cars not all taken apart nor stuff missing (a/c heater core, spare tire etc). I have owned this car for maybe a little over 4 years now, and so as my other collection cars this car was kept inside my home garage since I’ve bought it. And it stayed under a car cover with all fluids drained out before storing the car for years to come. Since today the 20th, id put all new oil back into the car. I have since took this car out to wash it and take pictures. Let me tell you, I plugged up the battery pack since this car was sitting so long the old battery died, along with a jumper box and first turn key the car started right up with no miss fire or any bogging what so ever. That should tells you this car was done up very nice and correct. This is the history as far as I know of the car. I’ve bought it in California from a guy who restored it 8 years ago. He had the whole front converted to the looks of the mean 240Z. he also had the complete interior redone, everything inside the care was restored as far as I can see, from the front to the rear of the inside. All new carpet has been installed too. Id like to say the interior is my favorite part of this car as it looks so good to ME. The ex owner of the car also had the outside car painted white, non of the other parts have been painted, (door jam, under hood, under truck, engine bay) anything that does not include outside were not painted. The owner had giving me a full folder paper work recipes and some other recipes on what was done. The owner also had the engine complete torn down and restore back to factory using all name brand new parts. All new hose and gasket were replaced too. I bought this car from Fresno CA, “””DROVE””” the car all the way back to Tulsa Oklahoma, a 28 hour drive non stop 1600 miles. The car did not have one single problem what so ever on the way back. When I drove up and down hills on the way back I went fast around corners to see if the car has good sustention and I had NO problems with the way it handle. Seems like it handle better then new and sounds better then new too. On the way back I also drove the car up to 120mph without no hassle, this car gets up to speed very smooth and fast like it should just like when it was new. I’ve owned the car this long and have only drove it from Fresno ca to Tulsa and to my house. Never driving the car anywhere else as I didn’t plan too as it was my dream loved car. So I’ve put about 1650 miles since owning the car because I live 35 miles from Tulsa. The goods/bad of the car. The car could use an antenna as the factory is broken, the front bumper is starting to show a little surface rust stain from sitting so long, the front hood is chipping paint, ive got a 240Z rear bumper that will go along with the car, you would have to modified the 240Z bumper to fit onto the 280Z rear. There is also a dent on the lower rear panel right behind the rear tire, you can see it in picture, looks like something bump into it instead of hit it as it’s a clean dent/bump. All tires have around 80% I would say. And the factory Z wheels and hub caps are still all original and looks very good, all the badge are still all there even the hood and truck, you can see in all the pictures. This Z has no rust as far as I can tell and see. Even the spare wheel section is perfect with no rust. Also the spare tire alone with all new rubbers for the car is in a big zip bag from the old ex owner, these are parts not installed onto the car and still can be, you can also see that bag in the pictures too. This Z still has the FACTORY A-track stereo, very cool looking stereo, the old owner put two aftermarket speakers on the door panels, I don’t know why that was pretty dumb I would say. It’s also got a aftermarket steering wheel and it feels and matches the car very well. The door panels up top near the windows are starting to crack and there is black panel repair tap over it, you can also see this in the pictures. Both windows roll down and up with no problems. Everything on this car works like it should. The best thing is even the factory clock works and is right on time. The a/c also is still all attached, but there is no belt on it. I’ve never installed one as I didn’t care I don’t drive it. But I’m sure it works because it still has pressure in the lines when I tested it before I let all pressure out when putting it away. The engine is VERY clean and sounds like new. There is a relay inside the engine bay (red wires) that I don’t know what they are for, it kind of looks like they were for a aftermarket horn as the factory horn don’t work with the steering wheel. All lights work like they should and signals work too, so does the hazard switch. There is no rip or tears in the interior that you can fine. One thing that piss me off was I took a friend for a ride when I got into town after buying it and he had step on a gum and it got stuck onto my carpet. I have not got the time to remove it but should not be hard because it’s still sticky like it was just there. Also the two side board and the main board for the back truck spare tires goes are all there. Non missing. The tags and title are all up to date. Don’t worry about the California plates, I never install the new plates as I have them. I think that’s all I can tell you guys for now, if you have a question and wish to talk to me please don’t hesitate to call me 918-530-7633. I want this to be easy for me and you so please take advantage of this. I know I will regret this later in the future but I can always buy another one when my time is here again. For now I have no time in the world to spend with it. I paid too much for this car to see it go but my loss is your gain. NOTE: LIKE MY OTHER COLLECTION CARS I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU DRIVE THIS CAR ANYWHERE UNTILL YOU GET A COMPLETE MAJOR TUNE UP AND TEST IT MAKE SURE IT’S GOOD TO HIT THE ROAD AGAIN AS IT SAT TOO LONG AND TOO MANY YEARS WITHOUT DRIVING. YOU SHOULD NOT DRIVE A CAR FOR LONG AFTER IT HAS COME OUT OF STORAGE. EVERYONE WHO KNOWS CARS SHOULD UNDERSTAND THIS STATEMENT I’M TRYING TO TELL.
