Vehicle Detail
I love this car! It has been my daily driver for over a year now and has never, never let me down. you can drive this car ANYWHERE. The drivetrain: It has had Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil since 25k miles I know. The timing belt, tensioner, idler pulley, and serpentine belt were replaced at 32k miles. An aftermarket oil cooler was also installed in the factory location at that time along with braided steel lines and A/N fittings. The transaxle and rear differential had their fluids changed at 60k miles. The body: The paint looks great except for normal rock chips in the front and a bubble on the rear spoiler about the size of the palm of your hand. All the body components are original to the car (VIN is on a sticker on each part and etched into the glass parts) except for the passenger side door and the rear hatch. The passenger side door glass is original to the car. Something must have happened and only the door needed to be replaced. The rear hatch and the small window next to it were replaced due to a tree limb falling onto it during a storm. The glass sunroof is original to the car. The hood and the rear hatch struts work perfectly. The interior: The leather looks perfect! The dash has no sun or heat damage. The driver's side seat has almost no wear showing. All the power seat features work perfectly. No rips or tears anywhere and very clean. Wheels and tires: The tires are Continental DWS (dry, wet, snow) and have wear indicators to inform you as performance capabilities decrease with wear. The "S" is the first wear indicator and still looks great so there is lots of life left in the tires. The front brakes have been upgraded to performance slotted rotors and high performance pads. Parts alone were $500. Problems: --The rear wiper switch may need to be replaced. After you turn the rear wiper on the switch doesn't want to turn the wiper off without switching it on and off several times. --The sunroof latch that connects to the control mechanism that raises or lowers the sunroof came loose from the control. It still opens and closes but is loose on the control mechanism. I will have this looked at to see what needs to be repaired. It only recently did this. --The gear shift boot has some wear on it from the way I rest my hand on the shifter. :) I didn't realize I was doing this until it was too late. --The front wiper fluid motor doesn't spray the fluid. Never had it looked at to see why. --The electronic controlled suspension module may need replacing. The Tour/Sport light blinks sometimes indicating the module has lost communication with one of the struts. I had this problem before and replaced the module with a used one and the blinking went away. It is back again so replacing it again should be what it needs. Very easy to replace. Title: It was issued a salvage title when the tree limb fell and broke the rear hatch. I have NO idea why. The repair was made in Tennessee and the state issued a rebuilt title for the car. I bought it and when Alabama inspected it they decided to issue a clear title to the car due to the only damage being the hatch and window (which were replaced). The car does have a clear Alabama title. That's it. You will not be disappointed. Just to clarify about any damage to the car, there is NO damage. No frame damage, the hood, both front fenders, and quarter panels are the original parts that came on the car. The driver's side door is original and all the glass in the car is original expect for the rear hatch and one small side window. All these parts have the matching VIN on them to show they are original. There was no flood damage or anything like that either. On Jun-20-10 at 01:49:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Apparently I didn't make it clear enough about what is going on with the carfax report. Two times there was an accident. I know the passenger side door was replaced in one of them but the impact was so light that even the original door glass was reinstalled into the replacement door. You cant tell it has been replaced, the color match is perfect. The other time there was an accident reported was most likely when the tree limb broke the hatch. No body damage, only broken glass. The VIN number is printed on each body part and etched into all the glass. This way you can tell if any parts have been replaced. The ONLY parts that do not have VIN numbers which match the vehicle are the passenger side door, passenger side small quarter window, and the rear hatch. Every other part is original to the car and has the matching VIN to prove it. No other damage is there. Nothing. No alignment problems, no body fitment problems, no flooding or water damage, nothing. I don't know why the insurance company decided to issue a salvage title when the hatch was broken. It makes no sense but it was done. It now has a clear title issued by the State of Alabama because there is no damage to the car.
