Up for your bidding consideration is this 1966 Chevrolet Impala 2 door hardtop in mostly original[stock] condition.This car has the original factory installed 283 V8 engine which has been TOTALLY rebuilt[rebored with new pistons etc.] and nicely detailed,the valve cover gaskets are Fel-Pro Hi Tech type which are the best for long term sealing.The exhaust manifolds were resurfaced,sandblasted and are crack free.The carburetor is the original factory 2 barrel,also rebuilt. The 2 speed automatic transmission has been rebuilt.The car has dual exhaust pipes with glass pack type mufflers in very solid condition.All these components described have approximatlly 15,000 miles of driving since done.This car has been a very good daily driver in over all very good mechanical condition,and as far as can be determined has always been a northwest US car.Which almost as good as a southwest US car from a corrosion perspective,the worst corrosion issue is around the lower rear glass[which allows water to leak into the trunk area only]as pictured,there is some blistering along the roof rain channels[the worse right side is pictured].Rocker panels are solid,there are no signs of any major body damage or rotted floor panels.The body has been repainted blue at one time over the original factory blue. The rear bumper has been damaged as pictured,the bumper deflection was not far enough to cause any damage to the body sheetmetal behind it.All the glass is good with no cracks.The original factory interior[headliner,door panels,carpet,seats,etc.]are in very good condition,the front bench seat has been reupolstered,with a relatively close match to the original pattern. A new matching lock set[ignition,door,trunk,glove box] was installed.New trunk weatherstrip,headlight switch,windshield wiper switch,and ignition switch.The engine cooling system is highly efficient[new heavy duty radiator,with new fan shroud and a six bladed stainless steel flex fan],proven in eastern oregon summer desert driving.Great hiway cruiser,drive anywhere with confidence.Clear oregon title,please feel free to ask any questions or conserns you may have.Buyer would be responsible for pickup on location,Portland Oregon.Thanks for looking///bidding.
