Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this stunning 1925 Rolls Royce 7 pass enclosed limo with divider window. I'm listing this car for a friend of mine who lives on the west coast. This Rolls was restored in 1982 and has been in storage for quite a while. This antique starts with a touch of the starter button and runs quiet and smooth. We have reciepts for interior and engine work along with a very nice owners and operaters manual. The manual is full of specs and imformation. I have yard driven only due to old gas from lengthy storage but clutch, brakes and steering and all accessories work very well.As seen in the pics you'll notice an upgraded intake manifold and carb with an elctric fuel pump. Also please note 4 speed manual shift, right hand drive, chauffer call button, jumpseats, trunk with luggage, etc. I'm not real familiar with vintage Rolls royce's so please ask all questions. This Rolls has a Brewster body #9018. Car # 9018 has had an interesting history in that it was sold new to Mrs. Violet W. Crane on September 13, 1934. At the time of the original sale it was mounted on Ford V8 Chassis #18-573320. In November 1936 Brewster bought the car from Jacod (this name appears in many of the original records so he was evidently a dealer that was well known by the Brewster organization). Brewster then sold this body to Mrs. A. F. Bemis. Mrs Bemis had it mounted on a 1925, Twenty HP Rolls-Royce chassis #GSK-41. RR records show that this chassis was built in England. It was fitted with a Cabriolet body by Kelner and sent to Paris to be sold to M. F. Mastbaum. Brewster records show that the chassis was purchased from E. W. Mastbaum in December of 1936 and in turn was sold to Mrs. Bemis with Brewster body # 9018 mounted. It is easy to see that the Ford style Brewster body is completely in tact from the cowl back. This type of re-chassis work was done on a regular basis by Brewster under the management of John S. Inskip. Neggative feedback or zero feedback bidders must contact us before bidding. This vintage rolls is being sold as is with no warranty. Please feel free to come and inspect this vehicle with a little notice. We are not responsable for shipping but will assist in any way we can.If you would like more pics in specific areas just let me know. On Mar-24-10 at 17:22:00 PDT, seller added the following information: This car will be sold with a bill of sale and will not be released until funds have cleared. All sales should be in person on a vehicle like this but we are willing to work with anyone as long as it's paid in full . Thanks for your understanding.>>>>>>JEFF
