It was my daily driver/commuter since I bought it in Aug 2007, until I bought a Harley last November. I figured I'd keep it because it is such a nice dependable rider with tons of trunk space, and even handles 2 up riding comfortably even during long trips. I would really like to keep it, but it just sits on the battery tender for the most part and rarely gets taken out, and I really need the garage space. This PC800 needs to be ridden. The Good: Hydraulic clutch, brakes, (disc front / drum rear) and self-adjusting valves, self-adjusting cam chain tensioner, and shaft drive makes this a basically maintenance free motorcycle ... except for tires and brakes of course. 800cc V Twin that is water cooled is so quiet people ask me if the bike is electric or a hybrid! Tires are in great shape. Seat(s) in xlnt condition with NO tears! Comes with Rear Passenger Backrest, Brake light modulator, throttle rocker, 2X helmet locks, and maintenance DVD. Current Calif registration is up to date ... I have the title in hand. It has been garaged as long as I have owned it. The Bad: Bike was dropped when not moving on the right side. There is a scrape on the lower portion of the trunk has a scrape on it, the right side mirror housing is scratched and the replacement mirror is a standard vision mirror, not the typical wide view mirror. The aforementioned is merely cosmetic and does not adversely affect the drivability or performance of the motorcycle. Might need rear brake shoes in the near future. And So... These motorcycles were designed for the novice rider. The dash-instrument cluster looks similar to that of a car's. Power delivery is smooth, and the torque is xlnt. You can pay a lot more for a pristine version of this model, but won't find a better "as is" rider for the money, or put a little into it and clean up the minor cosmetic imperfections. No one has bid on this item yet and I must say that the motorcycle has been sitting in the garage on a battery tender since last Nov, and been ridden very little. The rear tire has about 1000 miles or so left on it and is not going to make it across the country. The front would probably be OK, and I took it for a ride yesterday and it purred like a kitten. I don't see why with the rear brakes checked, (as stated above), and a new rear tire it shouldn't make a long journey ... but ... it IS a 26 year old motorcycle. As previously stated ... the price reflects a good not perfect vehicle.
