Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1950 2R5 Studebaker Pickup truck. Six-cylinder 169 cu. in. engine (Champion Engine). Runs well, tho’ does leak oil a bit and leave a slight blue cloud. Truck has been reliable for me since 1996 when I drove it to Chicago from 100 miles north of Duluth, MN. It was ‘restored’ at some point before that. By this I mean that rust holes were mudded (not so well, esp. around headlights), paint applied (not with a very shiny finish), and perhaps this was when the Studebaker floor-shift four-speed granny-gear-type transmission was added instead of the original column-shift unit. You can pull a stump with this truck, but don’t try to go over 45 miles an hour. Speedometer cable is disconnected, actual mileage unknown. Interior was fine, but a mouse got into the cardboard headliner over the winter, so I’ve had to pull that down. Unique shag-rug installed to revive that ‘70s feeling. Wood applied to cab-steps to make them solid. Floor is patched w/sheet metal. That said, it has not gotten any worse in the last 14 years of my ownership. I'm sorry, I did not take a picture of the interior, I will try to add later. Various repairs done over the years to keep the truck running – rebuilt generator, new brakes – including lines, cylinders, silicone fluid, bearings., etc. in past six years. There is a hole in the exhaust, steering has not been rebuilt. Heat works, with manual control of heat valve from engine compartment. I usually turn it ‘on’ in September and off in May. Clear title. Truck is sold as is, where is, without warrantee. Has been stored for the last nine months, it is not currently registered.Truck is located in Southwest Michigan, near the town of Sawyer, about 40 min from South Bend, 90 min from Chicago.
