Vehicle Detail

What you are looking at is a pretty cool, and close to being road ready Sunbeam Alpine Roadster. This is a really cool looking car. I have an affinity to English cars for some reason, and just couldn't pass this one up. Alas, I have not had a chance to get it going, and times are tight, so some of the future projects have to go. Let me rephrase that, lots of the future projects have to go! This particular "project" is not much of a project really. My assumption is that it could be a runner around town in a weekend. The car is almost totally complete, and I have actually had the car running as recently as a year and a half ago, and putted it around a bit on my acre. Tires have been holding exactly the same air pressure for months, until recently when one of the fronts seperated, so I put the spare on. I will throw in another tire I have laying around for you though. I would think the car will need some fresh gas, maybe some wheel cylinders for safety sake, a brake bleed, and ....? The seats seem to be one of the few things on the interior that have not recently been refreshed. They still need to be recovered , and some trim work needs attaching etc. on the interior. There are also a few more spare goodies such as soft top bows, misc trim pieces, and some new brake parts? etc. As far as engine size goes, its a 1725cc and the manual 4 speedtransmission.. The story of the car to the best of my recollection goes that this was the previous owners project that he was restoring for his wife. More of a clean up and make a good around towner then a full resto though. Apparently she lost interest, and it just sat in the driveway, until I drove by :-) The body seems to be pretty rust free except for minor surface rust under carpets etc to be expected, and some very small holes inside the wheel wells (not fender) where the road dirt collects. . I'm not sure when it was painted, but it was kind of a half a** job, and could use buffing, touch up, or just repaint to color of choice besides purple.. Look at pics to see what I'm talking about. There are some dry seals here and there still as well. I guess the good news is its not all rusty, and multi-colored. I just can't think right now, but run any questions by me that you can think of as this is the third attempt at making this listing without my computer crashing!, and I will be glad to answer or shoot a pic as nec. As far as registration goes, it is off the books, and I have the bill of sale from both the previous owner and myself. So I can provide whatever you need. This would be a sweet little father son or daughter project car. Great fit for the 16 year old, and very easy mechanically to work on i'm sure. LOW RESERVE, and ready to go.
