Not driving it enough to justify keeping it. Have owned many through the years. This is a great car for the price. Fly in and drive home or will assist your shipper. Just under 130K miles. Motor received full rebuild a few years back and has since only clocked a few thousand miles. Receipts (approx $8K) documenting this go with the car. Car has been re-sprayed once in correct color and has a few tiny nicks consistent with use. The re-spray appears to be a 2-3K job. The color is unusual in that it appears burgundy at times and in other light appears more like a brick red. The body is straight less one or two tiny door dings and the car has no rust. The interior shows wear. There is some seam separation on drivers seat and leather is nowhere near as supple as when new. Dash does have the requisite sun crack on it. I consider it presentable though and completely serviceable just as it is. The electrics on the car are 100%. The AC on car is a question mark. The car is bone stock and all ac components are in place. I have not taken time to explore if the car needs re-charge on refrigerant or if it needs more than that. Tires are new Toyo Proxes all around in correct staggered sizes front/rear. The stereo is nothing special but works fine. The car starts, runs, drives, shifts, etc. just as it should. There is a puff of smoke at start up when car has sat a while, but no measurable consumption of any fluid and there are no leaks. This is just an average car that has been driven, but not abused. I feel this car fits perfectly between the hermetically sealed, low mileage $20K version, and the high mileage cars with mystery motors. $10K buys the car and I make no excuses at the price. Hagerty's is considered by many to be the best in classic car insurance, largely in part due to the fact they are a family of car collectors/enthusiasts. They publish a magazine for members tracking trends in blue chip cars and the like. They say the following about the 1984-1989 Porsche 911 Carrera. "The last of the low-tech, air-cooled 011's was indisputably the best. All weak spots of the earlier cars -- body rust, timing chain tensioners, exploding air boxes and pulled head studs ---had been addressed. None of the later complications such as power steering, ABS, all-wheel-drive, and water cooling had been added. These are grenade-proof cars that with proper maintenance are capable of 250,000 mile plus miles without major problems. While high production numbers and a large survival rate will keep these cars out of the stratosphere, they're not getting any cheaper. Price range $8900-$43,600
