1972 Toyota FJ40 Landcrusier. Low mile Small Block Chevy 307ci engine. Newer Edelbrock Carb, Electric Fuel Pump, Coated Block Hugger Headers, New Exhaust. NV4500 GM 1ton 5 speed w/overdrive transmission. Conversions were done using Advance Adapter Aluminum bell housing and transmission to FJ40 transfer case adapter. Has the mini-truck power steering conversion. Has a Man-a-fre shackle revesal kit and heavy duty rear shackles (spring bolts are greasable). Frame is Solid with only light surface rust and no rot. Body is very solid, rockers and rear fenderwells look like they were replaced by a previous owner. Doors have no rust at all, which is pretty unheard of. Usually the bottoms are rusted out. New seal kit around doors. There is some bubbling, but no major rust on the body. Have new aluminum running boards not installed. Seats have been recovered and look great. Comes with hard top. Glass is good all the way around. Has a Painless wiring fuse block. This thing already has alot of time and money invested, but it is a bit of a project and needs some issues sorted out. Needs small things like a passenger wiper arm, wiper fluid bottle installed, new turn signals were mounted, but not wired up, needs transfercase shifter boot and knob. Speedometer works, but other original gauges are not hooked up. There is a gauge cluster mounted to dash monitoring Water Temp, Oil Press., and Voltage on the Chevy V8. Needs aglinment and I beleive 3rd gear syncro needs replaced. Odometer and Title shows 58,000 and I believe this to be true mileage. Previous owner said it sat in a garage for nearly 10 years. Please ask questions before bidding, this is a 38 year old vehical and although nice is not in perfect condition. It is being sold as is with no warranty. I suggest the buyer plan on arranging shipping or plan on picking up with a trailer. FJ40 runs and drives, but I would not attempt to drive it across country. I will not arrange or pay shipping, but will make vehical and myself available for pickup.
