Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1962 Ford F 100 UniBody- Short bed Hot Rod I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: We received this beautiful rare little hot rod from one of our local Texas ranchers who spent a lot of money on it. Since he got another very expensive toy, his wife forced him to depart with his truck. He said that this was his toy since the early 80’s and it was only driven around his ranch and had not been driven out side the ranch the whole time he owned it……it was just his toy!!! The truck has a very healthy 302 V-8 engine with an automatic transmission. It has a brand new two week old paint job. It has a new fuel pump, steering wheel, master brake cylinder, battery, and we just changed the oil. The truck has average sized front wheels and tires (P205/70R15). The back wheels are huge with brand new wide tires (P295/50R15). It has an electric fan for the radiator that you have to turn on when you are going to start the truck. This is more of a racing/show off truck than an average moving the furniture truck. What is good about the truck: It is a Texas truck with a clear Texas title. It has a new paint job we have pictures of the paint job It has a strong V8 engine It has an automatic transmission It is solid It runs and drives well. All the lights work. The frame and the under carriage look very good. The interior has a new paint job All the glass is in good condition All the lights/signals are in working condition After market tachometer Pictures of the paint job and receipts included It has a new battery We recently changed the oil What is not so good about the truck: The upholstery on the original bench seat needs to be re-done, even though it has a brand new seat cover on it. The truck does not have the side mirrors. There is no carpet The paint job is new but is average and looks very good but it is not a show room paint job especially for those of you who want the paint job to represent perfection. For example, if you look at the hood, under the right lighting at the right angles, you may see some old dents in the hood. Please, please, please be sure that you have the money to purchase the truck if you are bidding. Remember that this little truck is is over 48 years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person, and if you are not sure, please don’t bid. I’m into antiquities and I don’t know that much about automobiles in detail. Please come and check it as I am expressing how I see the vehicle. Your bid is your contract. Please place bids only if you are serious about buying the item. If you are the winning bid, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchase the item. We require a $300 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes, and the remaining balance within a week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. All of this being said please take a look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have. Or come by and check it out in person before you bid. The truck will be sold as is, with no warranty or guarantee. For pricing regarding classical automobiles you can refer to www.nadaguides.com We reserve the right to cancel any bid for excessive negative feedback. And I may also advertise it locally. Good luck and have fun.
