Vehicle Detail
This is a very well-maintained GL 1500i, Red, 86,002 miles, with lots of extra lights on sides, back + front halogen lights & sequential flashing brake lights. It has new tires (less than 400 miles), new front brake pads (rear brakes new just over a year ago. In this past year I have also put on a new alternator, front air shocks, and timing belts & some extra chrome, even though it had plenty already. The paint is slightly faded, which doesn't show in the pictures — apparently a previous owner didn't keep it garaged when not in use, as I do. There is a noticable blemish across the front fender, from where the halogen lights hit it, and a star chip in the lower left part of the windshield, which was there when I bought it & I never fixed. There is also a 6" tear on the right seam of the seat that has been repaired. This bike is not perfect, but it is definitely an eye-catcher. This also has an AM-FM radio with Auxiliary input, ready for Rider & Passenger to plug in their headsets for listening enjoyment or intercom, a CB Radio, Heated Hand Grips, Throttle Lock, Rider back support & Passenger swing-aside arm rests with cup holder, and Highway Pegs for the Rider. I also added some deflectors on each side to push more of the heated air out to the legs for cold-weather riding. I'm selling it because I just bought a Goldwing 1800. (This GL1500, being the Interstate model, doesn't have reverse. Since I was planning on adding the 2 extra wheels in the back to "trike" it, I thought it would be helpful to have Reverse, due to the extra weight, but Honda said it would cost $2000.+ to add Reverse to it & suggested I get a bike that already had it.) This bike is ready to pick up and drive home to Maine or Alaska, or any place in between. This bike is valued by Donaldson's Custom Auto & Cycle at $7500.00, so it will bring you a lot of compliments. The pictures were taken a couple of days ago. The actual mileage on the odometer is higher than the picture shows since we took it to the Fallen Bikers Memorial Day Rally in Salida. The balance of the payment, if a Bank Check or Money Order, needs to be sent a couple of days before you pick up the bike so that it has time to clear the bank before pick up. Good luck bidding, and congratulations to the winning bidder.
