CALL OR EMAIL ANYTIME >> I AM NOT AN EXPERT, BUT HAPPY TO HELP : jb1425@hotmail.com On May-30-10 at 17:12:40 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE ~!~ i went a an overnight trip with the boys to NYC and then to Long Island beach. just got home Sunday evening. the car runs fine. $35 worth of gas gave me about 3/4 tank and we got home after 200 miles with gas to spare. a/c, stereo, sunroof, power seats, booster seats-rear, cd, all worked fine and the trip was very nice in the Volvo. the rear cargo area, space, flip up tailgate made the journey easy for all our stuff. the car does have a ck engine light ON. my mechanic scanned the OBD and found tranny speed selonoide code. that was a week ago. the car does sometimes seem to take a second on a downshift during the course of the day/trip. i noticed an abrupt up-shift to 3rd when i accelerated, as i was originally slowing; maybe the car or computer gets confused and thought i was stopping? but that is hard to duplicate when i want, and has occured randomly. same mechanic says car seems safe to drive. but, he has heard that these trannies do have thier problems. even something simple like a selonoide could mean time and money. OK, i am content to keep or drive the car, but happy to sell on eBay too !! i figure a car like this would normally sell for around $7000 plus (looks like a $12000 car ~!~), but i am am hoping it hits somewhere near half that.
