Vehicle Detail

1946 STUDEBAKER M5 PICKUP I am selling my 1946 Studebaker M5 pickup. Clear title in hand. . This is an awesome truck - runs, shifts, and drives. It has a Flathead 6 engine that was rebuilt prior to my purchasing it in August 2009. Starts right up. I purchased a new 6-volt battery (positive ground system) about 4 months ago. Mileage stated is what the odometer reads but I don’t really know how many miles are on it. You will need to put in a new brake master cylinder rebuild kit which is included in the spare parts. (The brakes work but reservoir has to be filled every few days because it leaks around boot). Clutch seems fine. There is some body rust and the interior needs new upholstery. There is rust on both driver and passenger floorboards and a few spots have rusted through - very typical for a vehicle this age and a pretty simple fix. Tailgate hinges are rusty, the very forward section of the bed has some rust spots. I have a Picasa Web Album with more photos and you can have a look at everything closely: Link to more photos There are 4 glamour rings and 3 hubcaps included. Rims are white powder coated by Les Schwab. Dash gauges work except fuel. Has a new 6-volt electric fuel pump installed with pressure regulator. Gas tank has been disconnected due to leaks. Fuel now runs off of the red 5-gallon jerry can in the back. YOU WILL NEED TO TRAILER TO YOUR LOCATION. THIS TRUCK WILL NEED SOME REPAIR BEFORE IT’S ROADWORTHY. This is a No Reserve 7-Day Auction with a starting price of $2000. I also have a Buy It Now price of $3000. PAYMENT: A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due within 48 hours of auction close through PayPal. Balance must be paid within 7 days by PayPal, certified cashier's check, or money order only. This payment must be confirmed as "authentic" and "cleared" before the truck and title are released. If you want to pay cash in person that's great too. Thanks. I am going traveling so the truck must be off my property as soon as possible. If you need to store it for a while then you must arrange for storage yourself. There are many companies that will come and pick the truck up and take it to a secure storage facility. You must also arrange for your own insurance. I'll be happy to help coordinate pick-up and storage. Please message me with any questions or if you have trouble with the link to more photos. Thanks for your interest!
