Vehicle Detail

1970 Pontiac Tempest, Le Mans, original 19,958 miles. See over 250 detailed pictures at this link, http://picasaweb.google.com/PontiacParts/1970PontiacTempest19000Miles?authkey=Gv1sRgCPTUvd-Oh7an9AE&feat=directlink I am selling this for a friend. He is the second owner of this 1970 Pontiac Tempest which has a documented 19,958 miles. He has the protect-o-plate and owners manual. If you have any questions please e-mail him, Steve, at PostPontiac@aol.com or call him at 302-239-1716 before 10 EST time. Car has been garaged kept since 1992. The body has original gold paint and is very solid with no rust in the cowl area, firewall, rockers, doorjambs, doors, and interior floors. The front fenders and radiator core support, right inner fender have since been replaced with rust free ones from Arizona. The trunk has one very small pinhole from rust. The rear window channel has rust at both lower corners. The left and right rear quarters are almost perfect, as are the doors and the trunk lid. The car was complete when he bought it but he has completely disassembled it and bagged and tagged the parts. The car is still disassembled as the pictures show, but I’ve included a few pictures of it before he took it apart. A lot of the original gold interior is very nice. The dash pad, is very good with one very small 1 inch crack on top right side, next to the passenger door. Not an open crack but tight, hard to see. The black and chrome dashboard bezel looks like new. The chrome is very bright and shiny. The rear seat cushion looks like new with no tears or rips . Although the door panels are warped the vinyl is perfect. One could probably remove the vinyl and install them on warped free door pads. I don't believe that they are reproducing these door panels. Front bumper is straight. Front valance is good. Rear valance is straight with one small dent. Has manual steering box 6 cylinder manual drum brakes. Extra parts included are a 1968 Pontiac GTO black rear seat, its dirty, but seems to be good, straight rear bumper, clear ¼ glass, and clear vent windows, black back rear window inner vinyl trim. Two Gas tanks: one is the original six-cylinder is bright and shiny on the top. The other is from a 1971, Le Mans V-8 has an extra return line vs. the 6 cylinder tank. Hideaway windshield wiper parts: windshield wiper motor, and wiper arms, and chrome windshield cowl molding for recessed wipers. Have complete tinted side glass, six pieces. Right rear replacement ¼ panel from a 1972 Luxury Le Mans that was rust proofed by Ziebart. The six cylinder engine and two speed automatic transmission are not included. Other parts not included are the grilles and front turn and parking light assemblies, rubber floor mat/carpet, red taillight lenses, front bench seat, front and rear windshield, radiator, and seatbelts. The owner will not deliver the car. You have to come and get it or arranged for it to be delivered to you.
