Vehicle Detail

1963 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE An intact almost original survivor that has not been molested as so many of these old classics have been. They are only original once and this is pretty close to original. First year of unit construction makes this a rare and desirable bike for anyones collection.Matching engine and frame serial numbers! This classic investor bike is 47 years old and looks awsome for its age! It is not perfect but is a real head turner.Total mileage is unknown. Parts that has been replaced recently are, handlebars, headlight, clutch, brake levers, exhaust pipes. The fuel tank is from a 66 or 67 model year but included (see pictures), is a real nice tank from 1963. The chrome overall is in excellent condition. tank paint speaks for itself. its Ok as is but if you are doing a repaint you may as well use the 63 tank. You can sell on ebay the tank that is currently installed for around $300.The seat is excellent with no cuts or tears and tires are also good. Unfortunately, I forgot to add fuel stabilizer last fall and cannot get her to start but it has started every other year after winter with no problem. Im sure it is just stale fuel. I will try to get it running before the auction ends but be aware of this minor issue. last fall when it was running, it ran, shifts and brakes perfectly. Yes it does leak a few drops of oil like all british bikes where designed to do! The electrical harness was replaced a few years ago with a cloth one and all electrics work fine.Horn, headlight (high and low beam), and brake light. Also included is an original owners manual, an original California black plate license plate from 1963 and a complete reproduction maintenance, parts and wiring manual!! This bike is being sold on a bill of sale only, my state does not have titles for bikes this old. This bike is being sold as is where is with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for picking up bike within 7 days of auctions end. $1,000 deposit via pay pal within 24 hours of auction end with balance paid within 48 hours via cash or certified check. Sorry, but I cannot crate this for shipping, that is buyers responsibility. These bikes are doing nothing but appreciating in value at a rate twice as fast as your 401k is!! This year does not become available very often so go for it! Park it in your garage as it is for a few years and double your investment! Good luck!On May-29-10 at 15:31:46 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTENTION BIDDERS!! If the bid goes above $5,500 I will throw in a brand new pair of rear shocks, a brand new pair of chrome exhaust heat difusers, a very high end bike cover, and an original (not a reproduction), factory brochure from 1963 and a brand new chrome gas cap! All worth well over the extra $500.!!!! GOOD LUCK!!
