2003 Suzuki DR

Up for bid is a 2003 Suzuki DR 650SE. The original owner purchased it new and never rode it. The bike sat in his garage for 7 years. The odometer only registered 7.9 miles when I purchased it from him. Of course since it had been sitting so long, the carb needed a thorough cleaning. The only thing I could find wrong with it is the stock vacuum actuated petcock does not shut off completly so I put an in-line filter and a fuel shut-off on it. Since this works so well, I decided not to install a new stock one since I think they are about $80. I set this bike up with a bias towards dirt so I swapped the stock 15 tooth countersprocket with a 14 tooth. I also removed the stock Trailwing tires, and installed a Pirelli Scorpion front tire, and a Kenda Trackmaster rear. Those that are familiar with the DR will recognize that this tire combination is a great setup for off road while still being legal to use on the street. If you will be riding it mainly on the street, just put the Trailwings back on since they are more biased towards street riding. Both of these tires are DOT approved so it remains completely street legal. I'll include the Trailwings and the 15 tooth sprocket with the bike. When I got the bike home, I changed the oil, drove it for twenty miles, and then changed the oil and filter again. All the bike needs is to be broken in! I have put almost 200 miles on it and have followed the break-in procedure exactly as recommended by Suzuki. Please examine the pictures carefully, I have taken some close-ups so you can see the detail. The tank has a small scratch in the front. The rear fender and tail light have some scuffs. It looks like the previous owner may have stored some things on top of the bike. Feel free to ask questions, you will not be disappointed!
