THIS AMBULANCE IS LOCATED IN INDEPENDENCE, IOWA. I purchased this as a salvage title vehicle from an insurance company a couple weeks ago. The vehicle was still being used by the department with the minor damage to the right rear quarter until their new unit arrived. The damage is minimal and does not affect the drivability or the doors or anything. I would just cover with a curved piece of wrap around diamond plate and be done with it. It would make a great equiment or emergency on site command vehicle. It is in excellent shape other than the damage. I drove it from Nebraska to Iowa, about 5 hours and it ran perfect. It has a strong, low mileage 7.3 turbo diesel with only 108k miles. The lights and siren are all still there along with the inverter and all of the other goodies. I was told the most it would need was one new battery but it has started fine so far just the way it is. The interior of the 14 Foot MedTec box is like new and the drivers area is just as nice. The tires have lots of tread. There is no rust on this vehicle. It appears to have been inside its whole live. I had the vehicle inspected and got a regular, (prior salvage) title so this is ready for the road and just like any other title. $300 deposit within 24 hours of auction end via PayPal and the ambulance must be picked up within 5 days unless you discuss another option with me ahead of time.
