Good solid 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe. Repainted 6 months ago.While at the body shop new floors were installed in the car and it was undercoated. New interior including headliner, parcel shelf, seat covers, carpet, door panels . Lights all work, including the door lights that come on with an open door. The 289 is the original motor as far as I can tell. New carb. C4 automatic transmission and front wheel SSBC disc brakes are also in the car. It has 17 inch Bullit style wheels with new tires. New front seat belts. Original radio is functional. Runs good, stops good. Power steering, manual brakes. Wipers work, including the foot pedal operated washer/wiper combo. The bumpers are straight, but not perfect. It does have new windshield and rear glass rubber. It has new felt door inserts for the glass. All glass is good and all windows roll up and down. A/C functions and compressor kicks on but doesn't cool. Make a great cruiser or beginnings of an unusual hot rod. Gets quite a few looks when she is on the road. The Sports Coupe has bucket seats and a storage console. Floor shifter. The A/C will require new valves that come off the compressor. I went ahead and ordered a new high pressure and low pressure valve. That being said it will take about a week to get here. If the car sell,I will have them installed with the permission of the new owner. I also received my Aluminum radiator that I had ordered before I put this car on E Bay. I will put it in the trunk. I just drove her back home from the shop. Sounds pretty nice.
