fredandbarneys Store 1970 Chevelle Super Sport,396 4-speed,12 bolt,SS, 402ci 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport, 396 big block V-8, 4 speed standard transmission, 12 bolt rear axle with 4:11 gear ratio. This car has factory power disc brakes and power steering, buckets seats, deluxe gauge cluster. I have had the car a couple years and do not know much about the history of the car. The engine runs good, it doesn't smoke or leak oil, at some point in time it was gone through, but I don't know how far. It has an old school edelbrock intake manifold on it and an edelbrock 750, long tube headers, dual point distributor, the cylinder heads are cast iron and I'm pretty sure they are oval port. The serial # on the right side of the block (in front of cyl. head) is T0317CKN. This is not a #'s matching car, the Vin and cowl tags on these year chevelles don't really tell you much other than body stlye, 6 or 8 Cyl, int/ext colors, bucket/bench seats. The body is in fair to good shape, the frame and floors are solid. The front and back seat have been completely redone, headliner and visors are origianal and in very good shape. The 1/4 panels have been replaced and needed finishing work before car was painted, the area around both winshields need attention, and rear deck panel under rear windshield that supports the trunk lid is bad. This car runs and drives, the suspension is worn, it needs springs,shocks,bushings,etc. As far as documentation goes I have the original owners manual with bag, small section of the build sheet and a valid registration (in NY car 1975 and older do not have tiltles).
