Vehicle Detail

For sale AS IS. 1989 Ford Bronco II. Bad transmission, partially removed. Transmission neutral safety switch would not sense to start motor. When bypassed the transmission shifted erratically The tranny fluid also smelled burnt. During removal the owner lost interest and also could not fund the repair. The owner had the fuel injection system rebuilt prior to the tranny problem. Vehicle has not been run since 2002. Engine ran when parked. Tires inflate but only hold air for about a week. They should work for car dollying or tow bar if you don’t go too far. You will probably need all new belts, tires, battery, and other related parts if you intend to rebuild this one. It had antifreeze when parked. It is an XLT and the interior is fairly good for its age. The interior needs cleaning as mold has set in years ago but appears to clean up. The exterior paint is fair to good but needs washing. We washed the mold off every few years and it looks good for a while. The body is in good condition with minor tweak. At the time, years ago, we felt this is a viable project but we have no time, interest was gone years ago, house cleaning time. This would make a good parts rig, repair, or conversion to an off-road rig. Actual mileage not known but shows 89,000. Title shows odometer as in excess of limits. Could have turned over once or ten times, who knows? The ignition key and stereo face-plate are missing. This is a no reserve auction and will be sold to the highest bidder. Buyer must pay transfer fees and transfer title before vehicle is removed. Vehicle must be paid for in cash before it is removed. Must be removed within a week of the sale closing. We have a compressor and can help inflate the tires, if they still inflate. I can help load but bring your help as I am by myself. This had been a viable project when we started. We believe that if you wanted, it would be repairable. We don’t know what else has gone wrong, if anything. The hood did not open but it has a six-cylinder motor. The windshield also is cracked. We are not interested in selling parts. We hope that it goes to a happy home but it is in line for the wrecking yard if there is no interest.
