This is an original 138 code SS 396, 4 speed with bucket seats, console, PS, protect o plate vehicle with non original motor. The exterior is butternut yellow , which was repainted with recently replaced black vinyl top. The car has approximately 7000 miles on the rebuilt motor. It runs strong and is very reliable (driven to work during the spring and summer months). The overall vehicle has approximately 115, 000 mile on it. The last owner claims that he was the original owner and used the vehicle up to 1989 when it was partially restored in 2007. The front end has new parts to include shocks bushings etc. The car has a 12 bolt rear end with 3.55 ratio gears with air shocks. The M20 (wide ratio transmission) is newly rebuilt with new clutch and pressure plate with no gear whine. The halogen lights allow for good night driving. This car is in great condition with minimal items left to be replaced. The rebuilt rat motor (396) has new headers (specially built from Mickey Thompson Super Scavenger and Headman Elite Headers) with mandrel bent pipes ( X crossing) that exit behind the tires. An HEI ignition with MSD, high-rise aluminum intake, and Edelbrock performance series carburetor has been added with 100k spark plugs. The battery is also new. The interior has been replaced with the exception of the arm rest. The dash and console and carpet are in good condition. There are no signs of rust around the door panels. The drum brakes are in good condition. This car has been garage kept for the entire time that was in my care. The body and frame are straight with no evidence of an accident. This is a great vehicle that is looking for a new home and good owner. I am not interested in trades at this time. You must see this vehicle to really appreciate its worth!
