Vehicle Detail
1999 Honda CBR 900 RR Low starting bid NO RESERVE, HIGH bidder takes the bike. I have for sale a 1999 Honda CBR 900 that has a salvage title due to the bike suffering from motor problems, I have since then replaced the motor with a 1997 Honda CBR 900 motor. The GOOD, is that this bike is a nice bike for it's age, it runs well and I hate to part with it, but I am moving and it must go. The BAD, it does have a SALVAGE title, even though there is nothing wrong with the bike other than some cosmetic scratches on the tank (which you can see at the seat/tank junction from a belt buckle) and light scratches on the fairings. I replaced the the motor with a motor from a 1997 Honda CBR 900, it had 17,200 miles on the motor. The factory speedometer does not work (the tachometer does work), I have installed an aftermarket speedometer to show how fast you are going. I have contacted the Honda dealership and have been told that I can replace the sensor on the side of the transmission and that will fix the speedometer, the only reason that I have not done this is due to the fact the part costs about $140. Plus, I had an electronic odometer laying around and just installed it instead. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me with any questions. The only reason that the bike has a SALVAGE title is, in South Carolina if the insurance claim is more than 75% of the value of the bike, then a SALVAGE title is issued, so I decided to keep the bike and fix it. One of the high beam head lights is burnt out. Both dim lights work fine though. It has a Two Brothers Carbon Fiber exhaust also!
