FOR SALE BY OWNER : 1965 CHEVY EL CAMINO CUSTOM This is a Texas truck that includes the following : Over $ 7000.00 invested , owned for over 15 + years , clean & clear title - 37,752 original miles on body . Complete undercarriage was sandblasted , etch primed and painted : satin black chassey paint, rear end is a 12 bolt possie with new bearings and complete ring and pinion possie unit, along with U joints and air shocks. truck still has 4 wheel drum brakes, replaced single master with dual ( needs to be converted to disc in front )Changed steering box from stock to 69 firebird, took 3 turns out lock to lock, added 2 " sway bar in front ( off a 69 firebird ) Added a rear sway bar from a 69 Impala . Motor is not original. 1972 Chevy 350 2 bolt main ( tollarences are loose .0005 over on rods & main )motor installed 1000 miles ago ( oil changed 500 miles ) . Camshaft is split , duration high lift. Cylinders bored 60 over , LT 1 pistons ( 10 1/2 to 1 on pistons ) , pink rods, clevite bearings, 194 heads opened to 202 , stainless steel manley powerflow valves, holley dominator dual plane intake with a 750 double pumper. 1977 electronic dist.w/ MSD ignition system. High pressure fuel pump, 2 core radiator with a auxiliary fan, 3500 stall converter( new ) Hooker headers, 3 " Leed pipe power flow mufflers, 2 1/2 " tail pipes ( new ) Car also has all original rims( 14 ' with all 4 original hub caps ) with cooper tires, Car is ready for paint ( primer ) no soft spots or rust holes, very little surface rust. Includes all emblems to be put back on after painted . A set of 1965 plates registered to car that will need to be transferred to new owner. Car is being sold As Is and is also being sold locally and seller has the right to end auction at any time . Car has been stored and covered, never seen winter roads.
