Vehicle Detail

Ok, lets see how well I can describe this bike. I purchased the bike brand new in July 2006 with 2 miles on it. Broke the bike in EXACTLY as per the owners manual then switched to Mobil 1 full synthetic oil from 600 miles on. I had raced bikes previously and was only going to commute with this. Well, that lasted about a week when I decided to do a trackday and was shocked at how fast and comfortable a completely stock bike could be. So, quickly changed my mind and turned it into a racebike, albiet a pretty stock one, here are the changes I made: -Hotbodies bodywork, Leo Vince shorty exhaust, 520 chain conversion, Kevlar front brake lines, lightened rear brake rotor, GP shift conversion, and stock suspension professionally set-up for racing for a 180lb rider. Raced a few times in 2008 with consistant top 5 finishes in WERA Expert races. The bike has a completely stock motor so top speed is a couple MPH down (Road America) from a bike with motorwork but was really not a factor at most of the tracks I raced at where high cornerspeed is much more important (Gingerman, Gratten, Talledaga GP, Nelson Ledges, Blackhawk Farms, Authbahn CC, etc.) The upside of a mostly stock racebike is this bike is dead-nuts reliable. It starts, idles, runs perfectly. Never a hiccup, never a problem. Just get on the thing and concentrate on cornerspeed. I did crash once at Talledega GP. Broke off the rear stand spindle on the swingarm, bent the rear wheel, and cracked the fairing stay. Replaced the entire swingarm with a new one, installed a carbon fiber fairing stay, and replaced the wheel....expensive day. Bodywork is not perfect because of that, but it earns you a little respect because they know you are crazy enough to crash! In the fall of 2008 my wife lost her job and Pontiac and the car dealership sponsoring me decided to cut back so the bike sat in my garage all of 2009, not a track day, nothing. So why sell it now? Well, I've got four kids, the youngest being a boy who wants a dirtbike, so I'm going to sell this and buy a couple bikes for he and I to play on. The bike comes with front and rear stands, some stock stuff like the kickstand (but not stock bodywork) and the slicks have 10 laps on them at Gingerman (18 miles). If you are looking for a reliable, solid, fast, well taken care of, low mileage trackday or racebike, this is it. Always stored inside, Mobil 1 oil changes after every race weekend (every 200 miles or so) one owner, 37 year old dad of four. Might not get any better. I have clear title to the bike and will accept only Paypal or cash. $500 earnest money within 48 hours of auction end, complete transaction within 7 days. I want this to be an excellent transaction for me and you, so Paypal escrow is certainly ok with me. I live in Kalamazoo, MI. Please contact me with any questions you may have, I will answer them as quickly as possible.
