Vehicle Detail

Reflex silver with Black leather, cold weather package, moonroof, ESP (stability control), in-dash Nav system, many upgrades, averages 42+ mpg Great stuff: *All major maintenance records done by dealership—dealership is good here in Baton Rouge. Just had clutch re-done, new fan and belts, coolant sensor, much more.Glow plug recall done, as well as seat heater recall. Timing belt done at dealership on schedule. *Easy highway miles- I have a 80 mile commute *Used oil analysis over the years through Blackstone-just got one at 164K. Getting your oil analyzed is a great tool. Oil is the lifeblood of your engine and the analysis reveals all. *I always used synthetic VW PD approved oil (505.01 or 504/507) mandated for these cars. Available only at the dealership or by mail order. This is vital for this engine’s long-term health. *Body is solid, no rust, paint in good shape- one fender bender right front with high-quality repair (unnoticeable—Carfax says it was right rear), rear bumper replaced twice due to 1-2mph bumps—just enough to dent the Styrofoam inside and require replacement (one not on Carfax) Though this car has been in Louisiana, this is not a flood-damaged car. There is a scratch on the rear bumper, and a tiny dent in the right rear quarter panel *Leather interior in good shape *Trailer hitch *CAT2 fuel filter modification—this allows you to use a filter that costs half of what the stock filter does and filters to 2 microns instead of the 10-15 microns of the regular stock one. The cleanliness in the fuel and frequent air filter changes give me the low solids revealed in the oil analysis*ESP- stability control option included, rare for this year. This is the most important safety item since seat belts were introduced. It will help re-stabilize the car in the event you lose control. It also help greatly in driving this car in the snow/wet conditions! Extreme Makeover done at 120K: 1. RC1+ tune- by Rocketchip- a 30% increase in torque and horsepower! This is what this car always needed. Runs like a dream and no mileage penalty! 2. Koni red shocks, & Shine rear sway bar—corrects the excessive body roll present in all Jettas of this body type. Firm but not jolting, just what the doctor ordered! 3. 2006 VW style side mirrors with turn signals—an added safety feature. I will include the paint kit if you want to paint them silver 4. FK style red LED tail-lights--Some LEDs missing on the driver side. They look great overall and do work, but could use some rewiring to look perfect at night. (the euro light harness is a bit different than the US one). 5. Aftermarket R32-style projector head lights with working yellow fog lights (halogen) built into the housing. 6. Hella xenon driving (fog) lights. Yes, the real thing—xenon HID is unbelievably powerful. These are the small lights below the regular headlight. I have it specially wired so you can run one or both sets of fog/driving lights simultaneously—I do a lot of night time country road driving, and this setup is amazingly bright 7. Improved South Bend performance clutch stage 2 replaced at 164K 8. Aftermarket 16“ wheels with all-season tires and VW logo J I have 9 liters of approved oil, two standard fuel filters, a spare CAT2 fuel filter, Gorilla trunk mat that will be included Disclaimers: 1. This car ran partially on WVO (vegetable oil) for three summers from 30K to about 100K miles. It was a professional two-tank install by the Greasecar people in Massachusetts. I ran pristine oil from a potato chip factory and my fuel filters were always perfectly clean. I stopped when Used Oil Analysis revealed my wear metals were going up—they have since returned to normal. All components of the system were removed, and the car has been driven 65K additional miles since it was removed, with outstanding oil analyses to back it up. Again, all components of the vegetable system have been removed, and the fuel system is stock. 2. Cruise control has been acting up recently—light comes on but sometimes will not set. 3. Window tint needs to be replaced- a few creases and bubbles- still looks good overall except on close inspection 4. Usual paint chips/bugs on front 5. Leather on steering wheel is showing its age 5. Armrest on driver side showing its age, too 6. Hole in spare tire well—plugged firmly with a rubber plug that’s lasted 60K miles with no leaks including high-pressure car washes 7. The usual trim and body—minor items that go along with a car this age 8. One of the tires has a very slow leak and so wore irregularly—very slight shimmy that should go away if you rotate it to the back again. The tires I estimate have maybe 5 K left on them Note: The JL tire sub, Polk SR6500 speakers and crossovers, ARE not included in the bidding price. They will be removed and replaced with stock or equivalent speakers. if you want that equipment, it will be an additional $800—For that you get the Polk SR6500 speakers (I paid $700 for) a JL tire sub (over $400 alone), a Fosgate P400-4 amp ($349). THE NAV SYSTEM IS INCLUDED IN THE BID PRICE. If you want the custom installed Laser Pro Park that is an additional $500 http://www.dmi-sport.com/technology/LPP-laser-pro-park-dual.html This is a very clean, nice looking car—the headlights/tail-lights give it an updated look that still stays true to the basic design. I had someone ask me if it was a Mercedes not long ago. With the updates I’ve added to it, this is a modern car with the latest technology. A real wolf in sheep’s clothing—fully equipped with power and the handling. This is the perfect highway cruiser and will fly on the on and offramps if you want. Add the optional Laser Pro Park dual head ($500) and a Valentine 1 (get your own) and you have some serious game going. Rivals the latest high-end German automobiles, and still gets 43 mpg!
