Vehicle Detail
Hello, Here for auction is a semi beautiful green Volkswagen Jetta VR6 with the manual transmission. The reason I say semi beautiful is that the passenger side has some stone chips, dings and scratches whereas the rest of the car is a 9 out of 10. I don't think this has ever been wrecked, I guess we'll know for sure once it's listed and the vehicle history report fills out. I think the chips and stuff is just normal wear and tear. I detail cars for fun, I wet sanded the hood, drivers side and trunk...came out beautiful. The car has newer tires on front ( 500 miles) and 80% tread left on the back. This car runs great, if you are un familiar with the 15 degree V6 VW engine, you are in for a treat. The idea of the 15 degree is for torque, the more vertical the pistons run, the more torque is realized. This car is capable of 30-32 miles per gallon on the highway while at the same time delivering great power. She sure is a cruiser, she'll want to sneak up to 80mph on you if your not careful. The transmission and clutch run as they should with gear selection and clutch uptake very smooth. Brake rotors were turned about a month ago with the pads at about 80% remaining. This car has many options, I'm not sure even if I have found them all, but let's start with the power sunroof, power windows, locks, brakes, cruise, trip computer, leather seats, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power seat (both sides), MONSOON stereo...This thing rocks!!!! It is missing the changer but still plays cd's from the head unit. There is plenty there to list but I need to get this posted, even if you don't buy mine, please consider a Jetta, they are refreshingly good quality cars. The glove box is broken, it stays shut, but the one hinge is broke. The passenger side power mirror glass is broken. The cup holder that pulls out from the console is also broke. Being 10 years old, she's allowed to have some flaws. thanks for looking!....steve On May-09-10 at 06:16:28 PDT, seller added the following information: In the spirit of not being greedy, I have lowered both the reserve and the "buy it now" price. Please feel free to ask some questions. I changed the oil couple hundred miles ago. Some options that I had missed when I listed it: Rain sensing wipers that are adjustable based on sensitive you want them. One touch power down/up front windows. Rear seats fold flat, seat cushions roll forward, then backs fold down ( true flat ). I know I mentioned the stereo, but it has eight speakers and separate tweeters, sound very good with solid bass, plenty of power. Driving the car is really an experience. This is my first German car, and I finally "get it". American cars with these miles feel "used", I mean, going over bumps for instance. In a American car, you'll often feel a disconnected feel as your tie rods, ball joints, get worn. This car is the most solid car I own. Going over bumps will yield nothing more then a small " blip blip"....rock solid, tight feel. If you are local, you're more then welcome to come drive it.
