Vehicle Detail
This has been a very difficult decision to make, but it's time to sell one of my most prized possessions. I have another car, am about to finish my degree, and am moving in the next couple of months to a place where I can't really store two cars. I've put a lot into this car over the past year, as I had been planning on keeping it for the long term. New timing belt, new drive belts, and a new set of four Yokohama Y372 tires (from Tire Rack) all within the last 2,000 to 3,000 miles, and all work was performed by my mechanic. I drove this car last summer from Boston to Montreal to Toronto, and then back to Boston, had a great time, and no issues along the way. The car runs very well and I would drive it anywhere on the continent. I am keeping it garaged most of the time underground. I will be happy to pick you up from the Boston (BOS) airport or Boston Amtrak station if you are the winner! The car is fully stock, as that's how I like it, and I know there are others out there who feel the same way. Original black paint from the factory, which is one of the rarest original colors on a Festiva. Automatic transmission. Cargo cover, fully functioning OEM sound system (including new OEM rear speakers I installed), original spare tire and tire iron in blue felt case, original jack, rear wiper, rear defroster. All of the GL goodies are here. Car has A/C but I think it needs a recharge. Car drives very well and does not pull or anything. A couple of weeks ago, I drove a couple hours in this car at highway speeds and it felt just as great as it always has! Like new tires, good road feel, a good radio, and the wonderful feeling of using barely any GAS to get where you are going... 40MPG is not unusual. Also, insurance is very inexpensive on this vehicle. I bought this car a year ago and the title I received indicated there was only one previous owner. The car was obviously garaged for most or all of its life here in the Northeast, as it is in outstanding condition! As you can see from the yellow chalk written by the shop, the last oil and filter change was at 60,061 miles in October. Two things I will mention upfront: 1) some minor wear on driver's seat -- see photo -- otherwise the interior is in great shape. 2) in cooler weather, driver's side window needs a little bit of guidance to go up. You just need a $40 window regulator from Festiva Motorsport (http://www.festivamotorsport.com/), and I would buy one and install it if I were keeping the car. Clear MA title in hand, and comes with the original 1992 owner's manual; the OEM (set of 2) and Haynes shop manuals; a couple of spare parts (extra side mirror, rear wiper switch, etc...); and, two car keys (one OEM, one copy). Happy bidding!
