Nationwide Auto Restoration LLC Quality Craftsmanship for the Automobile Enthusiast Description: 1966 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 You are bidding on a 1966 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8. This car was undergoing restoration and is about 65% completed. The Healey was to be reno red with a gray cove and matching gray interior with red piping. All metal work is finished ( I have additional photos of metal work if needed) and body work is about ½ complete. The engine and engine compartment have been painted. The interior of the car is in the process of being completed by Master Upholster Lee Williams. The dash pad, console, kick panels, rear quarter panels, door arm rest and rear seat structure are complete. The front and rear seats, arm rest and door panels are a couple of weeks from completion. The piping for the seat and arm rest is suppose to be reno red, however I can have the color of the piping changed if you are the successful bidder. The auction also includes the paint for the car (about $1,000 of PPG Reno Red). The engine is in very good condition, runs smooth, has good compression, gear box shifts with no problems or noise, overdrive engages properly. Carburetors have been rebuilt, the intake and exhaust manifolds and accessories have been media blasted and painted. All electrical has been refurbished and function properly. Starting and charging systems are in good working order. The distributor was rebuilt and the voltage regulator was replaced. New burled walnut dash board, new gaskets, hoses, rubber. Traffcator was rebuilt including new wiring harness, very nice nos steering wheel. Steering column media blasted and painted. Hubs are in good condition with very good splines, rear hubs have been turned. Chrome is in very good condition. The front grill surround and eyebrow has been re-chromed. Bumper brackets were straightened, media blasted and painted, bumpers are in fair condition. Windshield, side windows and vent windows are in good condition and clear. Convertible top frame has been restored, new trunk kit. Heater has been refurbished and radiator in is good condition. The following items will need to be purchased to finish the car: 2-amber lens, Lower radiator hose, intake/exhaust gasket, exhaust after down pipes, oil/temp gauge, gas tank, gas cap, 1-rear fender beading, dash heater control panel, carpet, and convertible top.
