Vehicle Detail

Here is my 1968 Jaguar XKE series 1.5. I bought this 14 years ago from the original owner and have put less than 1000 miles on it. It has ALWAYS been stored inside since new. It was sold new in Southern California and owned in Beverly Hills. It still has the original license plates from the selling Dealer.. Frank Millard. It has the Original 4.2 Litre motor and is equipped with A/C. I have all the manuals and warranty books plus many of the receipts of service from new. The tools, jack and knockoff hammer are in the spare well. It has around 100k miles on the car and the motor was rebuilt at 90K. Nothing has been changed or altered except for the following: it has cruise control, and an alarm system and a remote mirror all installed over 40 years ago. Regarding the Factory A/C, I have never used it nor have I ever serviced so it will minimally need evac. and recharge. It has older Michelin redline tires which do have plenty of tread. It has been painted once and the paint is in above average condition and driver quality as far as gloss and shine..but not show quality by any means, however, there is no checking, peeling, cracking. I had it all wet sanded and polished a couple years ago to remove most of any orangepeel that was there.. The door jambs and engine bay are original paint. As far as I can tell, it has NEVER been in and accident. This car runs and drives very fine, runs cool, fans work, great oil pressure, transmission is smooth as butter. It is very cold-blooded and must warm up to temp before the choke can be fully released.. The chrome is very decent and straight, the left rear bumper and a few other pieces do show some small specs of pitting and age, the floors and trunk well are solid as it has been in dry climate in the Southwest untill 5 years ago when I moved it to Portland,Oregon area...BUT, as I said earlier, it has always been in dry storage. The interior is very decent, showing some normal wear around the console, kick panels and a couple of the A/C vent shutters are missing. The dash, upholstery, steering wheel are all excellent. The Original wool headliner has no rips or tears but does sag a bit in the center. This is a fine survivor and a very original unrestored car that could be used everyday and still driven to meets and shows. There will never be another E-type, they are one of a kind. Reluctantly, I put her up for sale..she has never been offered before. Anyone will be proud to own this car...it draws a crowd where ever it goes!! Not many cars can do that and especially when they are priced under $30K. Chassis# 1E 35116, Motor # 7E-15995-9, Transmission # EE 2549 Please feel free to call me with questions...360-852-0589. Bid with confidence, I am 100% positive since 1999. For overseas buyers, I will assist with C.O.D. shipping, land and sea, and can even get you a quote.. most likely from the Los Angeles area.
