Up for bids is this Beautiful white on blue 1989 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Police Package. This Vehicle is equipped with the Fuel Injected 5.0L/302cu V8 with Automatic overdrive transmission. It is a rust free Arizona car! This Crown Victoria started its life as a small town police unit in the small northern Arizona town of Chino Valley. This Vehicle was a take home unit and was used as a patrol unit by the same Officer since new! Vehicle has 118,000 original miles; Car was retired due to age not mileage! Runs Great!. The small town police department has very strict maintenance standards. This vehicle has a clear title! This vehicle is a great example of the simpler times, due to car is very plain and simple, equipped with the basics with most luxuries deleted. The car is in great condition, driven daily (lightbar removed rear deck lights covered), would make an easy Police car restoration or remove the equipment and make it a very dependable head turning daily driver. Vehicle was painted by Police Department in its original white, prior to auction for more resale value. You’ll find some assorted small dings and scratches from use, but it’s still a nice looking car. The chrome front bumper is in great condition. Chrome shines beautifully! Small ding. The chrome rear bumper is in great shape, has Dare bumper sticker shines beautifully! Grill and headlight areas are in good condition. Chrome shines beautifully! Parking/turn signal lamp lenses are in great condition. Passenger side reflector broken. Taillights are in great condition. Retain their original ford crests! Car has a set of two new rear tires, front tires have plenty of tread. All glass is in good condition. There is one police antenna on the trunk. There is also a hole in B pillar on passenger side for light bar cable! Never been severely wrecked! Retains front license plate bracket, with its original Town of Chino Valley License plate. Vehicle retains it’s original police package black steel wheels with all four factory “dog dish” Police center caps, They look Great! No tinted Windows. Equipped with one Chrome spotlight! Equipped with a lightbar and push bars, they look great! Vehicle Interior Condition This police sedan has the 50/50 cloth split bench seats with matching rear cloth seats in good condition. Overall condition of the interior is great for a car it's age! Very clean for a patrol unit! The front bench seat is in good condition. It is blue velour cloth. Has a tear where the officer’s gun’s butt rubbed! The rear all cloth seat is in great condition. All four door panels are great. Headliner is great condition. Original dash cap was cracked! Now has new matching Dash cap Liner! There is a Factory AM/FM stereo radio. Carpet is in good condition, has some stains and is torn on the driver’s side where the officer’s boots rubbed. Now has new matching floor mats. Steering wheel is in great condition. Trunk is good, not totally clean, has trunk liner. Overhead visors are great. Speedometer and gauges are great! Car has no holes in dash from equipment. Has the ash tray. B pillars are good. Two sections cut out of the rear for Partition. Equipped with it’s original Setina wire Partition. Vehicle’s rear door handles and window cranks were removed by police Department for prisoner transport! I can provide you with replacements if you wish! Vehicle retains all factory A/C buttons. All factory seat belts are in place and functioning correctly. Dash board retains stickers from police department reading “USE OVERDRIVE DURING HIGH SPEED PURSUIT! “ and “SEAT BELT USE REQUIRED IN THIS VEHICLE!” Vehicle Electrical Condition Car is equipped with A/C & Heater. The P72 code was used on Ford police cars From 1981 to 1992 ,Yes the 1992 is the newer body style but it is still a P72. In the case of Ford Police-Package Crown Victorias, there was a VIN definition change beginning in 1993. This was the first year that the Passenger Car - 71 (P71) code was used for police packages. Prior to 1993 they were designated as P72s. Ford Vin Identifiers: The fifth, sixth and seventh VIN positions indicate the vehicle's Line, Series, and Body Type. For Ford Crown Victorias there are five codes I will only show the Police Codes. They are: P71 - Crown Victoria, Police Interceptor, 4-Door Sedan (Body Type BA4)- This code only applies to 1993 and later Police Package equipped vehicles. P72 - Crown Victoria, Base-Fleet, 4-Door Sedan (Body Type BA4) - This was used to identify Police-Package cars from 1981 to 1992. This code also identifies all non-Police Fleet vehicles (Taxis, Service Vehicles, Government, etc.) for years 1981 to present. Only the Police- Package vehicles had the 5.8L V8 140mph speedometers,sway bars and dual exhaust, the 5.0L V8 was available as an option on the Police package for fuel economy concerned departments.
