This jeep is awesome. I have taken care of her meticulously. I am the only owner she's ever had. Her name is Ruby, but you can call her what you like when she's yours :) For 75% of her life, she was parked in the garage when she wasn't being used. She's never been in an accident. I haven't done anything super nasty with her, but you can. I hear she likes that sort of thing. I'm not a smoker, so she doesn't smell. Of her 92,329 miles, 80% are highway miles. She purrs like a kitty when you turn her on. Oh stop it. Your mind is in the gutter. ;) The other 20% of her miles were spent doing what she was made to do, and she does that effortlessly - a true joy to drive up a trail. Brakes are good, Tires are ok, but the next thing I was going to do was to get her a new set of tires. A new catalytic converter was installed in 2008 - part of some warranty work performed by the dealership. There was no problem, they just recognized while they were in there that the first one needed to be replaced, so they replaced it. The rear differential cover has been exchanged with a beefier cast iron cover from Solid Industries. It is super tough and reliable. The car is mechanically excellent and is visually near-perfect. There are only 3 minor blemishes I can think of other than some very light, buffable desert pinstriping: 1. Two very small rock dings (see pic) on the left of the very front of the hood inflicted when the car was only a month old. I am still shaking my fist at that Semi that kicked them up. 2. Rear interior light (on rollbar) was removed by a misplaced ski last winter. It is super cheap to replace, I just haven't done it yet. 3. A small portion of the right front bumper (see pic) is pushed in (we think that as we were slowly navigating through a stand of trees she brushed against one). It can be pushed back out, but why? I have provided her with oil and fluid changes at the proper intervals. I watched that like a hawk. I, unlike most people, understand the need to change differential oil regularly. I have done this without fail. The differentials are magnificent, shiny, and with no appreciable wear. I baby her. Currently, she has two prepaid dealership engine oil changes left. The two prepaid oil changes are good at any Jeep dealership and go with the car when you buy her. I bought 4 of them 6 months ago and have only used 2. She comes with TWO tops. The hard top and the soft top. The soft top was used only for a few months and she was garaged 100% of the time. The soft top is like new. I'm serious, too. It is beautiful.
