1987 Ranger - 2WD - 5 speed standard transmission - 4 cylinder (ebay won't let me change from 6 to 4) - Unknown miles - over 100,000 - This truck is being sold as a "fixer upper" or for "parts". It runs and drives short distances at low speeds, but it is not road worthy or highway safe and the buyer should plan to tow it. I have owned this for a number of years, and used it as a "farm / work" truck to drive short distances on my property, haul firewood, etc. I have a clear KS title. It starts, runs, and shifts thru all gears. Clutch, transmission and differential all work correctly. There are two issues with the engine: (1) At mid - high RPM's one of the Rocker arms comes off, due to a worn camshaft so you have to "baby it" and keep it at low RPMs'. (2) it will not idle at a steady RPM and surges up and down. It is currently running and able to drive at low RPM's at a low travel speed. There is loseness in the front end / steering parts. It did hit a fence and the right front door and right front fender are from a salvage yard and repainted. Paint is faded or cracked, there is minor rust. The tires are in good condition with lots of tread left - the rear ones are a knobby mud tread, and the front ones are normal highway tread type (small possible leak in one front tire). The bed is in pretty good condition. The windshield is cracked on the passenger side, but does not appear to leak in water. The seat is in good condition for it's age. This will need to be a cash deal or cashier check when you pick it up - no personal or business checks. Pay Pal is also acceptable if paid in advance. This is sold "as is". I am not "parting out" this truck - I am not selling any parts off of it. You must purchase the entire truck. I need to get $300 for it, and have turned down offers in the $250 range.
