This 1993 Volvo 240 SW runs perfectly, although it needs a catalytic converter ($500). To pass inspection it needs a left front motor mount, a left lower ball joint, a left sway link, new front tires (and possible alignment) and a back-up lense for the right rear tail light. That will likely run $1,200 or so, according to an estimate from my mechanic, but any handy guy could do this stuff in a single weekend for a few hundred dollars. On the collectibility of the car, it's No. 936 out of the last 1,600 240 station wagons made (says so right on dashboard). Plus, it's only got about 175,000 miles on it (not much at all for a Volvo). The engine has been properly maintained for the life of the car and the body is in excellent shape, as is the leather interior (except for rips on the driver's seat, although that's under a nice slip cover). Dark green, four door. No low bid offers.
