The F-450 grew again in popularity in 2008 when Ford introduced the F-450 with a factory pick-up bed. While this truck started its life as pick-up, an after market hauler bed was installed for ease of use while pulling a goose-neck horse trailer or 5th wheel(the factory bed has been sold). This truck is the envy of all other F-series owners, but keeping in quality and craftsmanship, provides the same creature comforts as its smaller siblings. Ask any Ford owner what the most sought after Ford package is and you will get one answer, the Lariat package. The Lariat package includes supple heated leather interior, leather wrapped steering wheel, climate control, upgraded burl-wood interior accents and so much more. Of course the amenities don't stop with just the standard factory options, it has power accelerator and brake pedals, power rear sliding glass, shift on the fly electronic 4wd, upgraded 6 disk CD player w/ Sirius Satellite radio, Chrome Tubular steps, Universal Garage Door Opener, and Up-fitter switches w/ Built in Brake Controller. Many other upgrades were added aftermarket, some of those include a Custom Built CM Hauler Bed with 2 5/16 Goose-neck hitch and 80gal fuel-tank/tool box combo, Ride Rite Air Bags system w/ electronic controller, and 2 DVD systems built in the rear of the front seats. The added options have a retail cost of well over $10,000. This truck is equipped with everything for you, the kids and your towing needs. Under the hood is a powerful 6.4L Powerstroke Diesel engine. It is mated to the proven and reliable 5speed Torqshift transmission. With the built in down shifting characteristics, it makes towing a trailer and stopping a dream. If you haven't pulled with these newer generation electronic transmissions, you owe it to yourself to make the jump from manual transmissions, not only are they reliable they are a joy to drive. Feel the security of owning a vehicle that can be serviced at any light duty or heavy duty Ford dealership in the country. This truck is rated at 14,500 GVWR and can tow up to 18,200lbs, it is equipped with 4.30 gears that give optimal towing capacity and fuel economy. While this truck was not a 1 owner, it has been in Texas its entire life and has been well cared for. It has been attached to a Bloomer Horse Trailer its entire life and was kept indoors while not in use. A rigorous maintenance schedule was in place and has been serviced above and beyond it factory service specifications. This truck was owned by a friend for all but 3,000 miles of its life and he does NOT smoke. I have found no evidence of smoking with the exception of the factory cigarette lighter, NO burns, NO smells. The drivers seat does have normal wear while the rest of the interior in excellent condition, however there is a red stain in the rear floor board. The paint on the exterior shines great and has just been freshly waxed, of course it is black and will show the normal scratches and scuffs. The truck will be professionally touched up for its new owner, but due to the fact that we now have 4in of snow on the ground, I wanted to shoot pics yesterday and did not have time to address all cosmetic blemishes. The bed looks good but does have normal use scratches and scuffs. I have ordered new shiny hinges for the boxes and new light bezels for the bed, it will look as close to new as possible by weeks end.....the snow will be here however I will take new pics if time and weather allow. The body appears to be in all original condition with a clean Car Check. The truck will be kept indoors and miles may vary for test drives. As for the tires and wheels, they are original and the wheels shine great with no gouges or heavy scratches, the 225-70-19.5 tires are in average condition.
