1979 westfalia manual, air cooled engine, camper van, I bought him from a college student at the University of Oklahoma in August this year 2009, he had just had the air cooled engine rebuilt about a year ago at 62,362 and the mileage on the dash reads 75,904,just took a couple last trips mileage read 76,866 now. (It would be fair to say that would be 162,362 and 175,676 now 176,866) that cost him around 3300.00 and had brake work done also around the same time. It cost 200.00 he gave me the receipts and the other owners receipts of work done on Bert. Bert was turquiose in color. I had Bert painted back to his original color about four months ago, which you’ll see in pictures. Bert had rust around most of the window frames so I had them repaired and replaced , for the paint and rust repair cost me about 2800.00. Still some rust in both battery areas as shown in pictures not too bad though. I like the way everything looks on the inside, no tears in the upholstery that I can see, all the windows and latches are complete and work. It comes with two tables. The tent has had couple small hole patch work done where the the top latch had put some holes, and the cabinet doors and one table has had wood filler used to replace the chipped face, but looks good. The stove and water works, not sure about the ice box, shows no power coming in from outlet...maybe bad plug? I was told it works but have not figured it out yet, had not needed the ice box yet so I have not had it check. I do have extra door,headlight seals for other areas on van that I will put in a bag and give you. I bought Bert for my son who goes to school in Texas about six hours from the house, I took Bert up to him and the drive was surprisingly quite nice at about 70hmp I did have it up to 80 plus at times, but I don't like going that fast in the van, 70mph is just right. I got a lot of people waving and honking. When I drove up to my son’s apartment with him standing outside looking at me and Bert I knew right then he was not going to like it. I was right he wants a truck; so Bert and I drove home and now Bert’s looking for a new home. I have put 6,500.00 on the van.I have a clean and clear Oklahoma title. Happy bidding and good luck.
