Up for Auction is a 1993 GMC Sierra K1500 4X4 The truck runs and drives very well with minor faults which will be explained below. The truck has a brand new starter (2009) Brand new Battery cables New crossover pipe for the exhaust new hitch installed to tow 5000lbs power locks, windows, and tilt steering The not so good areas of the truck, The engine is a 350, although it isn't original, the original was a 305 and the previous owner pulled it and put a 350 in it. So the odometer reads 168000 but it isn't accurate for the motor, it could have more or less I don't know. The transmission was rebuilt almost a year ago, and is still under warranty until May, I had the trans rebuilt and it's been running fine since, we have a boat and trailer that weigh over 5k and the truck has pulled it to our boat dock at the marina, and it has done quite well. I originally had to tow the boat 400 miles home when I purchased it, and the truck did great but it burned over a quart of oil. The truck leaks a very small amount of oil from the valve cover gaskets, and it burns oil slightly. Basically when I drive the truck without towing anything for 300 highway miles I may need to put about a half quart in it. When I drive at lower speeds it doesn't seem to burn as much. The next issue, is the check engine light is on, I believe it to be coming from the knock sensor becuase there is no wire plugging into the knock sensor, but I've never investigated it because it doesn't effect the truck driveability, and I don't have emissions on it. Behind the muffler where the tail pipe runs to the end of the truck has rusted and I removed it to prevent it from falling off, the truck is not loud it sounds normal but some exhaust work will need to be looked into. The previous owner had the truck stolen from him for the rims and tires because they were very expensive, and the insurance paid for the current rims that are on it(this happened 10+ years ago) the door locks will lock but the key will not work in the door to unlock them because when it was stolen they jimmied the keyhole, but that's the extent of the damage. The final flaw with the truck, is the windshield washer fluid motor doesn't work, and the turn signal stick is stripped from the housing, the turn signals work, and you can get the wipers to come on but my 2 year old grabbed the lever last fall and pulled it right out, so its been stripped. I have listed everything that I know about the truck, mechanically it runs very well, I've never had any issues, as the ad states it's a 4 wheel drive truck with a 350 engine, has the towing package also.
