This is a very special Mini cooper, back in 2002 when Mini Coopers first were introduced they were only available in a Coupe. So we got the idea to make the first Power Top Convertible Mini Cooper. We bought a stock 2002 Mini Cooper S Supercharged that had damage to the roof and was thus a salvage title. So we thought this Mini Cooper was the perfect candidate for our First Custom Convertible Mini Cooper. Thus we sent the car to Newport Convertible Engineering in Southern California and after $20,000.00 they converted our 2002 Mini Cooper S Coupe to the first Modern Mini Cooper Convertible in the world. They car is still on their website under Mini Cooper. At that time, we sold the only Convertible Mini Cooper for $45,000.00 Some years later, Mini Cooper began to produce Cabriolet Mini Coopers. Recently, the owner asked us to sell the Mini for him on consignment, so we are offering the vehicle here on ebay for a small fraction of what it was originally sold for. The car is gorgeous, we just gave it a complete Brand New Paint Job and it looks amazing. Bright Cherry Red. The Interior is a beautiful black with Silver accents. It is fully loaded. Power everything. The custom Top is a beautiful Black Canvas Power Convertible top. You simply unlatch and push the power button and the top will open or close. The top is in great condition with no fading nice and dark black as you can see in the photos. The rear plastic is a bit faded. The owner no longer has the boot cover, but one can be custom made for a few hundred dollars. The engine is the "S" version which is Supercharged. The car runs like a bat-atta-hell. It is very fast and zippy. Only has 53K miles. The interior is in good shape as you can see in the photos. It has a CD head unit. Overall, the car is a great car to have, drive and enjoy. And the fact that is was the first and only modern Cabriolet Mini Cooper is a great fact and conversation piece. The price the owner is asking for it, is nothing compared to the enjoyment this car will bring. When comparing cars, always compare cars of like years, models, features and mileage. This way you will get a good idea of what to expect and there will be no surprises. We make great effort to describe the condition of our cars but unless we take it completely apart we cannot see every defect it may have, thus the burden is on the buyer for presale inspections.- All of our used cars are sold AS-IS with no Express or Implied warranties of any kind. We cannot know if a car has "ever" been in an accident or ever had major mechanical issues unless we have owned the car it's entire life and sellers who tell you otherwise are not being completely truthful.
