This wheelchair-accessible van belonged to the husband of a good friend of mine. Her husband passed away last year, she needs to find someone who could use this wonderful van that has been kept in excellent condition. The van has never been smoked in. Modified for wheelchair-driver use, 2003 Dodge Caravan, with 64K miles, converted when new to full EMS hand controls by Freewheel Vans in Wheatridge, CO. The van has a foldout power ramp, lowered floor, power kneeling system with a lock-down system for wheelchair driving. The conventional driver’s seat can be moved between the passenger’s position and the driver’s for normal operation. A second seat is also available. The long back seat can be folded down. The van has a CB radio, python GPS tracking system and a python security system with keyless entry. The ramp and trunk door can be opened by electronic controls outside of the vehicle. Only the passenger's side sliding door is powered. All functions of the van can be operated by hand controls or by regular use. The hand controls include an EMS computer console system in the driver’s position. The steering wheel can be used, or there is a conversion for those with limited mobility to steer with an auxiliary wheel. This handicap van is being sold AS IS, WITHOUT WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE COMPANY THAT INSTALLED THE MODIFICATIONS ON THIS VEHICLE REQUIRES THAT ANY DRIVER BE TRAINED SPECIFICALLY IN HOW TO USE THEM SAFELY. We would prefer local pickup of the vehicle, but would deliver the van to a local carrier that is arranged by the buyer. Of course secure funds would have to be received prior to shipment.
