Vehicle Detail
Up for auction today is my 1970 Toyota Corona. I have owned it for 2 years and have managed to get it up and running normally. Originally this car came from Washington state and that is the reason there is very little rust on it. I have installed a rebuilt carburetor and will include the original carburetor. Car comes equipped with the original Toyota tool kit, 2 snow tires and chains. This Corona is much more valuable as it comes equipped with air conditioning! This model has the automatic transmission and shifts smoothly between gears. Engine is still strong and I drove it until the brakes needed replacement. There is no radio installed, although I will include a radio I purchased on eBay, but never had time to install. There is 95757 original miles on this car. It will need brakes before becoming safe to drive on public roadways. I was in the process of restoring this vehicle before having to stop due to personal reasons. It will be easy to get this car in restored condition as there is minimal rust and no major dents in any of the body. These 1970's import cares are becoming the hot new collectible car! Mecum auctions have recently going nuts over these 1970's cars. You can see several that are starting to demand high prices in unrestored condition. eBay itself has listed several Toyota Corona models that are garnishing top dollar. If you have owned one of these cars in the past, you know how much fun they are to drive! My first car was a blue 1970 Corona and that is the reason I sought out this baby! Once you are out tooling around in a car like this, heads turn and follow you down the road. They look very much like a British import, but no one ever guesses that they are Toyota!I have the original Washington license plate on the front of the vehicle. I last drove it on the road in 2008, but I take it around the block once in a while to keep her in running condition.Clear ND title, car was been stored indoors in a heated garage since coming to Fargo in 2008. Here is some more about these wonderful Toyota Corona cars;http://www.autoweek.com/article/20060821/free/60810002 On Apr-14-10 at 14:24:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added more pictures as requested by several bidders. The last 2 are under the wheel wells, I thought I had better clarify them. Thanks,Mark
