I am selling this for my sister who is not very computer/internet savvy. She always took very good care of it both inside and out. The car is in overall, very good shape for its age. The car is ready to drive. She is selling it because she has moved on to a bigger car family car. The latest emissions test performed in January came out flawless. The Jetta was just recently serviced and passed the safety certification. My sister is the second owner of this car, and it has never been in an accident. A car fax report was run on it so you can see in detail the records for it. These reports can are available via email upon request. Exterior: A new windshield was just installed (the old one had numerous chips in it). The car comes with 2 snow tires in addition to 4 all-season tires and are in very good condition. The overall body is in very good condition. It is rust free except on a small portion the window frame on both sides of the car. (see image - this seems to be the case on all older Jetta’s). There are a few lighter surface scratches (can probably be buffed out. see image). There is also a deeper scratch on the rear tire well in addition to a few small chips in the paint here and there. Near the underside of car there is a small dent but is not visible unless you crouch down,. There is also a very small shallow dent behind the rear driver side door. No paint has been chipped because of either of these. Interior: My sister kept the interior of the car in very good condition as well. The leather has been well maintained with only wear on the stick shift (see image) and a small nick in the rear driver side door (see image). The rear leather seat that had my child’s car seat resting on top of it, is showing signs of marginal wear (see image). The glove compartment has one hinge that is broken, but it still opens and closes fine. The middle arm rest/console between the two seats no longer has the spring in it needed to snap it shut. (But it still opens and closes perfectly). Performance & handling: The engine runs wonderfully (see video link). The car has good acceleration, runs smoothly at all speeds, corners nicely, feels solid on the road and has great control. The car does not leak any oil or other fluids. All the mechanics and electronics operate perfectly (AC, power windows, sunroof/moonroof, 6 cd changer in trunk). The only things that aren’t in perfect order are: Sometimes car doors tend to want to lock shortly after unlock button has been pressed from inside of car. Occasionally, (but not always), the flip key will need to be pressed twice to ensure all doors are locked (the front door has a tendency to not lock if the key is not pressed twice). The car was regularly serviced by VW in addition to a highly trusted mechanic. Comes with one valet key and one flip key (switchblade style).
