The following auction is for a 1967 Chevy Pickup Truck. It has a clear title. It has an 8 cylinder 283 motor with a 2 speed automatic powerglide transmission. I bought this truck last year (August 09) and intended on using it as a work truck. I have since bought another truck, and decided to sell this one. It needs some work. It would need a lot of work to be a show truck or something like that, but I dont think it would take a whole lot to get this up and running for a work truck. The odometer reads 80021 but its probably been rolled over. It is kind of a cool looking vehicle you dont really see around everyday. Below I will list all the things I know are wrong or right with it, but here is what has been done by me. I had this truck towed to my house. Right now the engine turns over but doesnt start. I had it running and it sounded fine, (although I never actually drove it anywhere) As it was running it died and I can no longer get it to start. I think it may of jumped time, or a valve got stuck. Now, it gets really close to starting, but it shoots gas out of the carb and it just wont start. I never got a chance to try the transmission, we pushed it in my garage and that has been where it set since January 2010. I just need the room now, my Mustang is parked in a barn at a coworkers, and I need my garage back. Obviously this will have to be trailered out of here. You cant drive it home or nothing like that. Here is a description of the truck itself. The good: Here are the parts I have replaced: I bought a new Edelbrock 600 Carb. The tires are brand new and have less than 150 miles on them. They are Hankooks. (these were on my other truck, but I replaced them when I traded it in they honestly had less than 150 miles on them) I replaced the master cylinder. I also put brand new drum brakes on all the tires. Complete brake replacement, springs, drums, wheel cylinders, etc. I did not replace the brake lines. I also put on a new fuel pump and replaced the plugs, cap and rotor (I didnt do the wires). I did not replace the radiator or the gas tank, but neither leak and should be fine. The headlights, blinkers, gas gauge, heater, all work. So, the electric seems to be alright. I couldnt get the radio to work, but it just maybe a wire going to it. You also get the 2 drive shafts on the floor of one of the pics. These came with it, and I dont really have any other Chevys sitting around, so they are yours. The Bad: The front window is cracked and the back window is shattered (thanks to my hoosier neighbor kids and their BB Gun). The front seat is not original, it looks like it was from a van or something and put in the truck. I have keys for the ignition, but I dont have the keys for the door locks. The doors are open, you will just have to get keys made or replace the cylinder locks in the doors. The mirrors on the doors have been changed and redrilled. (you can see the old holes.) Although I replaced the master cylinder and all the brakes there is a leak in one of the lines and the are kind of spongy and lose pressure. There is rust in quite a few places. But of major importance is the rust around the door frames (both driver and passenger) The rust above the rear wheel on the passenger side is the worst. It looks like at one time someone used some bondo, but it has rusted around it. There is a pretty large ding above the passenger side rear end. So, the passenger taillight does not fit right. The bottoms of both the doors are rusted away. There is also rust in the bed above all the frame bars. The tailgate is beat up, but it still opens and closes decent.The transmission pan has a leak in it. You do not get a battery with the truck, but if you wanted I would put one in and let you hear it turn over. But you cant keep the battery. I need it for my Mustang. I took a lot of pictures describing what I am talking about. I will only list this truck once or twice. If it doesnt sell I will take it apart and sell all the pieces I can and then scrap the rest. The brakes, carburetor, and tires cost more than what I am starting the truck at. I am an honest guy and have tried to describe everything I have seen wrong with the truck. I dont want to screw anyone over or waste your time coming here for a truck that isnt what I described. If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me. Thanks for looking and have a great night. On Apr-19-10 at 13:54:31 PDT, seller added the following information:I have had some questions about the floorboards in the truck. There is rotting along the edges (by both doors) The middle is pretty solid. There is also some rotting in the back of the floor by the gas tank. The rotting is all the way through in the above mentioned spots. There is also 2 braces that are mounted right below the floor. These are going to need replaced as they are completely rotted away.
