Vehicle Detail

Very good condition for its year and mileage SL600. For those who not as familiar, this is the most desirable SL in R129 body (2001-2002 year with sport package). Designed by the Italian designer and carrying a massive V12 6.0 liter engine this car is as rare as it gets. Car carries a legendary M120 engine that has been used in a Pagani Zonda ($1 mil + car). This particular sample is also the latest iteration with the newest updates such as newer interior, updated front fascia and original OEM 18 inch AMG wheels, which only came on SL600 (sport version only). This is also a sport version of SL600 with highly desirable AMG staggered wheels that are all original and from the factory. Leather is premium and extremely soft, again, only an option on SL600. Dashboard is wrapped in leather, per original SL600 specifications. Soft top works fine and is in very good shape with no issues coming up or down. Car drives beautifully, soft, and there are no mechanical issues whatsoever. Just spent $1,500 on new spark plugs, wires, coils (picture of the old coils attached), purge valve, gas cap, new oil and filters. Engine runs beautifully. Carefully driven 150k miles, this car is only beginning its lifecycle given how robust these cars and engines used to be built. Car has been meticulously maintained and condition speaks for itself. Car is a classic. The good: 1) Mechanically the car is very strong, it needs absolutely no immediate attention whatsoever. 2) Has decently new tires with lots of life left. 3) New coils and spark plugs so all things engine related are taken care of. 4) Due to mileage and highway rock chips the car has been re-sprayed before and thus looks like new (hence the look of a nearly new car despite being almost 20 years old). 5) Seats and seat bolsters are in very good condition overall. 6) Soft top works fine. 7) Transmission shifts very well. In aggregate, the car has been very well maintained throughout its life. Things that might need attention: 1) Car has several small rust spots on the driver side only (see pictures), this is normal and spots look small enough so can be taken care of. 2) Passenger side seat has a small hole that could be patched up. That's it! Car has a very fair reserve price. You can contact me offline if you want to buy the car before the auction ends. Call nineoneseven 968-fivezerozero 1
