You are bidding on an original, unrestored, 1970 Honda Trail CT-70 3 speed automatic (see vin picture) with actual miles of 523 (it has been ridden since the ODO photo was taken). My grandfather bought this motorcycle in 1970 and it was originally purchased from Menlo Cyclery in Redwood City, CA (see license plate photo), which is no longer in business. It has been stored in a garage for nearly 50 years in CA, AZ and most recently our move to MO, and was last registered in 1975 in CA. It is almost all original with the exception of the rubber fuel lines (which had to be replaced due to deteriorated rubber), the start and shift lever seals (also replaced due to rubber deterioration) and the ignition switch (replaced due to the original key being lost). The tires are original and have never been removed from the bike (see photos). The original chrome and paint are in excellent overall condition, look at the photos as it is not perfect with a few chips and pits here and there. The bike starts, and runs with one or two kicks and the 3 speed automatic transmission shifts smooth. This bike is sold as is, please look closely at the photos for the bikes condition, I have taken great care to provide detailed photos of most every angle of the motorcycle. It is not perfect but it is very clean top to bottom, the seat being original is still in good condition, but has one small slit near the right rear due to something contacting it in storage (see photo). I do not have the title for the bike as it was lost, I prefer that it be picked up, but if you desire to have it shipped I will work with the shipper you arrange to get it on the truck from the origin ship point (Kearney, MO), and that will be the extent of my responsibility/liability. This Trail 70 is a true original gem that has been very well kept and will be enjoyed by whomever wins it.
