Vehicle Detail

Up for bidding is my 1997 BMW 328i Sport Package with 5-speed manual transmission, currently with 166,3XX miles on the odometer. I am the second owner, purchased from the original owner in May of 2016, with 158,XXX miles. No accidents, no rust, tons of new parts, meticulously documented, stock vehicle. Here is a link to more close up photos and "glamour" shots of the vehicle - https://imgur.com/a/NxiDWXu MECHANICAL 9 out of 10 The car runs and drives great, never has left me stranded, although I usually do not drive the car on a daily basis. I purchased it because I had always wanted this particular style of BMW, and now after a couple years of joyous ownership, it's time to pass the torch and find another gem. Vehicle is extremely well documented, and comes with a stack of maintenance records dating back when the vehicle was new (I have also scanned all the documents and arranged in PDF format, 99 pages of documents, and attempted to categorize the data in an excel document as well). * Oil routinely changed every 5,000 miles * Front Strut and Rear Shocks replaced at 120K miles in 2013 * New Spark Plugs/Coils, Valve Cover Gasket, Fuel Filter at 160k miles in 2016 * New Hawk Ceramic Brake pads and Zimmerman Plain Rotors at all 4 corners, Brake Wear Sensors, Front And Rear ECS Tuning Stainless Steel brake Lines, Brake Fluid Flush, and Clutch Fluid Flush at 161K miles in 2017 * New Aluminum Radiator from Zionville with High Performance Water Pump from Stewart, along with OEM expansion Tank/Cap/Radiator Temperature Sensor, Water hoses, Auxiliary Fan, Upper and Lower Silicon ECS Radiator Hoses, A/C and Water Pump Belts, Aluminum Water Pump and Power Steering Pump pulleys, Hydraulic Roller/Tensioner at 163k miles in 2017 * Emergency Brake Pads and Tension Spring adjusted, along with complete replacement of trunk wiring harness (comon issue in e36s where they split the wiring over time, potentially causing a fire) at 163k miles in 2018 * Transmission Fluid drained and refilled with Redline D4 ATF after endless hours of research on which fluid to buy, and Rear Differential fluid drain and refilled with BMW Group 75W-90 at 164k miles in 2018 * Brand New Interstate Battery, instrument cluster bulbs replaced, OBC screen repaired/bulbs replaced, and new front fog lights since May of 2018 * Tires have about 23K miles on them now, and may have another 20k miles or so left. * Clutch is original, and I experience no signs of wear or slipping, shifts tight and true. I purposefully sought out higher grade parts for the cooling system overhaul, since the plastic OEM parts tend to degrade and cause overheating issues with a lot of BMWs. I have also replaced a lot of minor rubber exterior parts that showed their age, like door handle gaskets, windshield cowl, weather stripping here and there. Intention was to make it a very reliable car. I also send in oil samples to Black Labs during every oil change I have done, and the reports are to spec for this engine - no known issues or potential issues. BODY 7 out of 10 The vehicle shows nice, but is definitely a "10 footer" - meaning from 10 feet away, it'll turn your head, but upon closer inspection, you will see it's age - keeping in mind that the vehicle is almost 22 years old, with black paint that can show everything - I detail (wax/buff with polisher) every 6 months or so to try to keep it looking it's best, but the exterior paint condition is my only major gripe about the whole car. I wouldn't repaint it, because there is no rust anywhere at all, and its just not that bad enough to call for a repaint, but I am a perfectionist, and notice everything while I am washing the car. - Some small dents on the trunk, and small dents on the driver's side rear passenger door. - Typical Slight oxidation on top of rear bumper - Rock chips peppered on the front bumper and hood - Evidence of touch up paint correction around various parts of the vehicle INTERIOR 7 out of 10 Interior shows it's age as well, but everything works - All windows and sunroof work fine, power seats work fine, all interior lights work and no dead pixels. Comes with newer Sony headunit with phone audio streaming, bluetooth microphone already installed (Original headunit is included with sale), WeatherTech front, rear and trunk floor mats (Original Floormats also included). E46 ZHP Shift Knob. Heated seats work great, heat is hot and A/C is cold with good air flow through all vents. - Seats have dark lined wear marks - Center Console has tears - Rear Seat has Tear - Headliner beginning to sag on rear corner slightly - Passenger A-Pillar loose This BMW will also come with a scan tool from CarSoft, three different Service Manuals, four sets of keys, new custom fit BMW car cover, and Original Window Sticker. Free and clear title, in hand and in my name.
